Yeah, it shows that between password attempts so they know you’re not pocket typing or whatever. Should have taken a pic on a different screen I guess.

Nope, after the tenth attempt it'll be a brick. It was designed that way. Not even BlackBerry can get around it.
Found my old blackberry from when I was 15. I’ve tried a few passwords that I might have used but I’m on attempt 9 of 10 and wary of wiping it. Is there no way to get around it?
I know I can take the memory card out to get the pictures, but I would LOVE to just have a play around, look at my old chats and stuff.

Good point. I’ve been able to work around a windows user password with a simple 5 minute technique though, so didn’t know if there might be a sneaky back door :-)
Colour me curious. How did you bypass a Windows password? I have my doubts unless you had admin access from another account on the same machine.
Used this video here. I only had the password to one user of three, and it wasn’t the admin one. But from memory you don’t need to know any of them.
No way to get around it unfortunately and no tricks with the Desktop software, if you plug it into the PC it will ask for the device password. Most common passwords are were wersdf 1234 123456 pass password qwerty.
Yeah, I think I’m screwed. Ah well. Tried a few of those plus some I remembered using but 15 year old me changed it every week for the lols.

I wish! This same blackberry is still sat in a dusty drawer somewhere in my room hoping I find a way one day. Sorry I can’t be of more help! If I ever get into it, I’ll try and remember and let you know how! X
