Ja'Marr Chase is in for the best season of his career - Athlon Sports Skip to main content

Last season for the Cincinnati Bengals, Ja'Marr Chase caught 100 passes for 1,216 yards and seven touchdowns. The receptions and yards were both good for 12th best in the NFL, but he only played a little over half the season with Joe Burrow.

Burrow went down with an injury, so one of the best one-two punches in the NFL was missing a piece.

It feels like Chase is in a really good spot to have the best season of his career. Chase has played three NFL seasons in his young career, playing the most games of his career during his rookie year, where he had 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns. With a healthy Burrow, it's not crazy to think that Chase can have his best season yet this year.

When it comes to betting odds on FanDuel Sportsbook for the AP NFL Regular Season Offensive Player of the Year Award, Chase was given the fifth-best odds to take it home.

Chase's odds are +1200, which is behind only Tyreek Hill (+700), CeeDee Lamb (+900), Christian McCaffrey (+900), and his former college teammate Justin Jefferson (+1000).

The key to Chase winning this award will be that he and Burrow will both be playing 17 games this season. If both of these guys can stay on the field, Chase could have 1,500+ yards receiving and perhaps even 15+ touchdowns.

This duo is in for a really big year with some new pieces on the offensive line to keep Burrow healthy and give him time to find Chase open downfield.
