Singapore's OCBC to invest more in Greater China despite geopolitical tensions
Singapore's Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp (OCBC) plans to add to its investments in Greater China, and is recruiting staff to help lift private banking assets in the region by 50% by 2026, senior executives said at a event in Hong Kong on Wednesday. OCBC, Singapore's second-largest bank, is on track to spend HK$1.5 billion ($192 million) by the end of 2026 on digital and tech platforms in Greater China to improve customer and employee experience, said Chief Executive Helen Wong.
