Maharastra has many new touristy offerings for the post-pandemic era. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced several initiatives to boost tourism in the state and this includes a new boat club in Ganpatipule. And that’s not it! The government is also launching Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation’s (MTDC) new user-friendly website and tie-ups with leading online travel companies.
Tourists Can Enjoy Aqua Sports Activities & Chill On Beach Shacks In Ganpatipule
Ganpatipule is a picturesque town on the Konkan coast of western India and the new boat club and beach shack will only make the town more desirable. Now tourists who cannot make it all the way to Goa can enjoy thrilling aqua sports activities as well as unwind at vibrant beach shacks.
The government has also introduced modern amenities at the MTDC’s Sinhagad property, which is a favourite amid trekkers. Special provisions are given for trekkers who frequent the fort set amid lush greenery. The government has also signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with Make My Trip and Goibibo to promote to make MTDC properties more accessible and easier to book.

Tourists May Soon Be Able To Enjoy Skydiving In Maharashtra
MoU has also been signed with SkyHigh India for a skydiving experience. Elaborating on this, MTDC said in a tweet, “Customer is king! With this vision in mind, we have signed an MoU with the Maharashtra State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Pune that will cover a holistic training programme for all MTDC personnel.
“Improving experiences, one step at a time. From housekeeping, front office, food, and beverage services to skill development, we have developed a comprehensive training programme that will ensure a seamless experience for all our guests.”
CMO Maharashtra tweeted, Maharashtra has a plethora of tourist attractions, and these initiatives will attract travelers from across the globe. This will not only boost the sector but also create employment opportunities for the locals, asserted the Hon’ble CM.
