Back the Way We Came
For those of you who liked Oasis, but stopped paying attention when they broke up, or maybe even earlier, this collection is where you start again. Noel Gallagher is a tremendous songwriter and musician who has continued making brilliant music since Oasis. Don’t go into this expecting Oasis rehashed. There are familiar elements, but the High Flying Birds are more grown up songs, executed with a different type of care and goes in directions that would have thrown, and does, Oasis fans/lads into a fit. It’s glorious. For me Noel stands among the greats as one of the best singer songwriters ever. Not just the Wonderwall billion stream guy. Perfect on this Sunday afternoon!
