sorted byI have this from the last deal and love it. Your toast can be any thicknesses and it does amazing grilled cheese 🧀. Worth it at this price and the kettle is amazing too. It warms your tea and coffee to the temp and stays that temp for you to pour. It will also keep the temp for a while too, if need to.

£50 is not expensive for a toaster, it's more range at best. Yes you can get cheaper, but Not much unless you want the cheapest of the cheap.
I think you have a different definition of OK than most people. Soggy bottomed cheese toastie is completely unacceptable, given this is supposed to be a primary feature of this machine seems absolutely critical failing.
Heat, wanted this for a while but could not justify the RRP. Ordered despite my Panasonic toaster still works perfectly!

This is all well and good until the wife wants a toastie and you want plain toast.
Pointless buying a £20 toaster every few years vs a good quality one that lasts much longer
Having said that I have no idea if this has any decent longevity.
My Magimix toaster does though. Got it for around £75 on sale. Goes for twice that normally.
But it's very well built, you can buy spare parts for it and it's fully serviceable.
It's also a glass toaster
Anything but a glass toaster is stupid in my opinion - if you can't see your toast you'll easily burn it.
