Joe Rogan Says He Cured Bill Burr's Illness With Simple Fix

Podcaster Joe Rogan said he helped comedian Bill Burr get over a cold with a simple recommendation.

Rogan made the claims during a recent episode of his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, where he was joined by comedian Sebastian Maniscalco, who told the host he had been using magnesium spray on his feet as a health supplement.

The conversation then turned to Rogan's go-to treatment for viruses and common colds, and he revealed he'd shared his wisdom with Burr just a few months earlier.

"I've been saying, if you're you're feeling s*** run down, get an I.V. vitamin drip. It's a game changer especially with high doses of zinc and vitamin C. You get a IV vitamin bag and you will feel way better," Rogan explained.

"Bill Burr was sick as a dog when I saw him last and he said he was sick for 'like two weeks. I can't shake this thing'."

Rogan then detailed how he told Burr to "please listen to me," and to get the intravenous vitamin drip to help him. The results were apparently fantastic, according to Rogan.

"He texts me the other day. He's like, 'Dr. Rogan, he fixed me. I'm going to do that from now on'," Rogan recalled. "Get a high dose vitamin C, zinc, B12, the whole deal in a bag. You'll feel much better because it gives your body the tools it needs to fight off whatever the f*** is trying to get you."

Newsweek contacted Burr's representatives by email for comment.

Intravenous (I.V.) therapy uses "a cocktail of vitamins and other ingredients" to hydrate and fill the body with the nutrients to help "fend off and recuperate from typical viruses such as the cold and the flu," according the Pain and Wellness Institute.

"IV therapy also fills your body with needed vitamins and nutrients essential to fight viral infections like the cold and flu," it said. "Vitamins... assist the body in boosting the immune response and shortening recovery time from the effects of the virus."

"Our body is comprised of about 60 percent water with the brain consisting of 73 percent water," Jon Shetrit, the COO of Privé IV in New York, previously told Newsweek. "Water is one of the main elements of life and is often not ingested enough. Most of the population does not hydrate properly- a minimum of 6-10 cups of water daily is recommended. This is even more of an issue in the summer where there are higher temperatures. Getting an IV drip hydrates the body to the max by providing a proper balance of fluids and electrolytes directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestion process and ensuring full hydration."
