Having been hit for plenty in his final over, Umesh Yadav wanted to make a statement. He does that by scoring two fours off Nabi to help RCB chase down the target with 4 deliveries to spare. While RCB sign off with a consolation win, the loss has hit SRH hard as they now await the result of the MI-KKR game to see if they can get through to the next round. While SRH's fans will be supporting MI on Sunday, RCB's win has also ensured that Kings XI Punjab, for all practical purposes, out of contention. Party-poopers!

Khaleel gives SRH an avenue:

Two wickets in the penultimate over for Khaleel, with Gurkeerat steering one to Pathan at point and Washington handing Pandey a catch after a miscue. It down to six off six.

End of the Hetmyer show:

Gurkeerat and Hetmyer manage a six apiece off Rashid in the 18th over before the West Indian is caught at the deep in his attempt to carve one over long-off. But a superb knock nevertheless as he heads back for a 47-ball 75, having brought the equation down to 12 off 14.

Fifty for Gurkeerat:

A superb supporting knock from the middle-order batsman, who has been the ideal foil for Hetmyer. Knocking it around for singles and twos and cashing in on the loose ones, Gurkeerat has played a key role in this game-changing partnership. At 146 for 3 after 16 overs, RCB are firmly in control. Will there be a change in the script?

Costly miss?

While the Hetmyer show has lit up the Chinnaswamt stadium, SRH are letting the pressure get to them. Having just evaded the stretched arms of Pandey at deep midwicket, Hetemyer offers a simple chance to Yusuf Pathan, who puts down the sitter at backward point much to the dismay of Bhuvneshwar. Meanwhile, the partnership has crossed 100 in the 14th over, with RCB moving to 121 for 3.

100 up for RCB...

...in the 12th over. Gurkeerat has provided solid support as the partnership crosses 80. The fourth wicket pair has stitched a crucial stand to keep RCB in the hunt. The required rate is currently 9.25. Can SRH put some pressure?

Maiden IPL fifty for Hetmyer:

He gets there off 33 deliveries, with the help of three fours and four sixes. Three of his maximums have come off Rashid, whose two overs have yielded 24 runs. RCB are 92 for 3 after 11. Can Hetmyer continue in the same vein?

Hetmyer counter-attacks:

Two successive fours off Khaleel is followed by a six off Rashid Khan as Hetmyer seems in the mood to do some damage. He's even struck one at the non-striker's end and the bat flew off Gurkeerat's hands. RCB move to 45 for 3 after 5 overs, having managed 25 in the last two.

Another big wicket:

AB de Villers departs without doing much damage, much to the disbelief of the Bengaluru crowd. A length delivery outside off and the star batsman pokes at it to give Guptill a catch at first slip. RCB have lost a wicket in each of the first three overs and are in major trouble, being reduced to 20 for 3.

Big wicket:

Having struck a powerfully-timed four and a nonchalant flick for a six off Khaleel Ahmed, Kohli gets carried away as he comes down the track and throws his bat at a shortish delivery. The outcome is a catch to the 'keeper as the RCB skipper departs for 16 off 7 to leave his team in a spot of bother.

Early strike for Bhuvneshwar:

Parthiv Patel falls in the opening over for a duck, getting a leading edge which was caught by Pandey.

Wiliamson fifty lifts SRH to 175:

Williamson begins with final over with a six off Umesh to bring up his 12th IPL fifty. He follows it up with a four over mid-off and a powerful six over square leg, and carves the fourth delivery over cover for a four. The umpire errs by calling a no-ball despite the bowler having some part of his foot behind the line, and Williamson gets a single off the free hit. Bhuvnenshwar top-edges the final ball for a four as SRH finish with 175/7, getting 28 off the final over.

Saini gets his second:

Williamson and Nabi manage a four each off Saini in the 17th over but the bowler manages to pick up his second wicket as the Afghanistan allrounder miscues one and departs for 4. Khejroliya gets the wicket of Rashid Khan, who is caught in the deep by Hetmyer. SRH are 142 for 7 after 18.

100th wicket for Chahal:

Yusuf Pathan has to depart without the damage that he was expected to do. A short delivery, that could have been hit anywhere, and Yusuf ends up slicing it to Umesh. Chahal wouldn't mind that as he picks up his 100th IPL wicket and celebrates by kissing the RCB badge. SRH are 128 for 5 after 16. How many can they get in the last four?

Another for Sundar:

Despite being hit for two sixes, Sundar has the last laugh as Vijay departs in his attempt to hit another big one. SRH are 107 for 4 after 14.

Rebuilding phase:

Vijay Shankar and Williamson have built a watchful partnership. They have played the waiting game, which has meant that the scoring rate hasn't matched up to their powerplay efforts. SRH are 93 for 3 after 13 overs.

Sundar strikes:

Since Saha's dismissal, only two fours were scored while SRH managed only 15 runs in three overs. The pressure results wickets in his first over for Sundar as he accounts for Guptill (30 off 23) - a tame dismissal as the batsman chips a catch off a leading edge to Kohli at midwicket. Pandey follows soon after, caught at deep mid-wicket by Hetmyer, who wasn't sure if he had taken the catch properly. The replays didn't confirm whether it was taken cleanly, and probably since the soft signal was out, the third umpire might have felt he didn't have enough evidence to suggest it wasn't a clean catch. SRH slip to 61 for 3.

End of Powerplay:

A testing over from Chahal, who has Pandey hopping all over the place. But no reward for the legspinner yet. One ball narrowly missed the stumps while another was an edge that travelled to the vacant slip area, with the fielder only just being removed from that position. Only one run off that over as SRH end the PP at 52 for 1.

Saini ends opening stand:

A mistimed shot results in the dismissal of Saha, who fails to clear Umesh at mid-on. He departs for 20 off 11. SRH are 46 for 1 in the 5th over. The in-form Manish Pandey comes in at No. 3.

And Chahal faces the heat...

...as Saha makes the most of the reprieve by striking three fours on the trot off the legspinner. 44 off four overs for SRH, who have managed 5 fours and 2 sixes already.

Fielding woes continue:

Umesh could have picked up the wicket of Saha but Chahal puts down a simple catch at backward square-leg. SRH are 29 for 0 after 3.

Brisk start:

Umesh Yadav starts in a tidy fashion, conceding only two in the opening over. But Martin Guptill, who faced four dots in the first over, gets into the act with a flick to fine leg for a four before going straight down the ground for a six off Navdeep Saini. To add to the bowler's woes, a wild throw from Kohli, without adequate backup from Khejroliya, gives Sunrisers four extra runs via an overthrow. Saha gets a boundary as well as Saini ends up conceding 10. SRH are 21 for 0 after 2.

Toss and teams:

Virat Kohli was a relieved skipper after winning the toss, another form of success he hasn't tasted very often in this IPL. RCB opt to bat; Shimron Hetmyer, Colin de Grandhomme and Washington Sundar included in the eleven in place of Marcus Stoinis, Heinrich Klaasen and Pawan Negi. Sunrisers make one change, bringing in Yusuf Pathan for Abhishek Sharma.

With 12 points from 14 games, SRH are desperate for a victory which will help them set one foot in the play-offs considering their NRR, which is better compared to Kolkata Knight Riders who are breathing down their neck. They can still get through despite a loss but need other results to go their way, a situation which Hyderabad will be hoping to avoid.
