Final Fantasy XI Missions Guide

The MMORPG gameplay in the world of Vana’diel calls you to explore it. Here, you can create your own character, alter it to suit your needs, and embark on various adventures. The adventures aren’t too easy because there aren’t enough in-game resources. With that in mind, here is a Final Fantasy XI mission guide for you to use.

What are the missions in Final Fantasy XI?

The main plot of FFXI is told through the missions. These missions also include goals and quests that, when finished, provide a variety of fresh content rewards. A quest could involve fighting off enemies, going on an exciting adventure, gathering information, or any combination of these activities. The game consists of a nearly infinite number of missions, some of which are listed below as follows:

  • Starter City Missions
  • Expansion missions
  • Scenario missions
  • Special battle endeavors

The player can anticipate receiving various rewards for completing these missions, including improved ranks, resources for unlocking new items, national flags, specialized equipment, follow-up quests, FFXI Gil and much more.

Additionally, the previously mentioned missions are divided into different categories that take into account a variety of quests; as a result, some of them are as follows:

  1. Starter City missions: This set of missions comprises The Republic of Bastok, The Federation of Windrust, and The Kingdom of San d’ Oria.
  2. Expansion missions: Rise of the Zilart, Chains of Promathia, Treasures of Aht Urghan, Wings of the Goddess, Seekers of Adoulin, and Rhapsodies of Vanadiel are some of the quests under this set of missions.
  3. Scenario missions: Talking about this set, some of the missions are as follows: A Shantotto, Voidwatch, The Voracious Resurgence, A crystalline Prophecy, Vision of Abyssea Scars if Abyssea Heroes of Abyssea, etc.

Some tips to progress effectively in Final Fantasy XI

The Vandiel universe provides rich gameplay and an immersive experience with a plethora of in-game content. Here are some pointers to help you enjoy and finish Final Fantasy XI’s grand adventures.

  • Understand the requirement: Review the Objective and the NPC dialogue prior to starting the missions to gain a better understanding of what is actually required to succeed.
  • Opt for group gameplay: Play in groups instead of alone; it can be more difficult and take longer to advance alone. So, decide to play in groups, which will be useful in combat scenarios.
  • Seek guidance: If you are unfamiliar with the game environment, it may be challenging to finish the missions in one sitting. Therefore, look for guidance by using a variety of resources.
  • Customizing and upgrading: As the game progresses, you’ll also need to concentrate on improving your character’s gear, equipment, and abilities. It costs you Gil, the in-game currency, and you can buy FFXI Gil from reputed seller MMOPixel.

Walk through the Final Fantasy XI missions

Here is a quick overview of a few of the missions, taking into consideration a few of them.

Starter City Missions:

These missions are categorized according to ranks and include Bastok, Sandoria, and Windrush.

  • For rank 1, players are assigned easy tasks; simply speak with the National Gate Guard for assistance. As soon as the mission starts, you have to fight the monsters using your leveled abilities and finish the task, which could appear to be delivered at any time.
  • For rank 2, you might be tasked with exploring the dungeons and facing monsters that have stronger abilities than the ones you faced in the past.
  • For rank 3, it is recommended to engage in multiple conversations with NPCs, explore different areas, and concentrate on following their instructions for optimal gameplay.

Aht Urghan Missions:

Ahkk Jharcham is the main character in Aht Urghan Missions. Talk to her when you get to Port Al Zahbi. She will give you the mission before bringing out the parchment paper and jar of black ink. In order to receive the reward—which could be the Mog House—the player must trade these items.

Zilart Missions:

There are three categories in this set of missions, which are:

  • Zilart Mission 1: The New Frontier: The Zilart Mission starts when a player reaches level 55. You will be given a map to help you reach Norg, which is the objective. Rank 6 is a prerequisite for the mission.
  • Zilart mission 2: Den of Pirates requires the player to speak with the Leader of Norg and is level 55 and rank 6. To start a new cutscene, the player must click on the dead when they enter Norg and proceed to Gilamesh’s Door.
  • Zilart Mission 3: Kazham’s Chieftaness requires the player to speak with Kazham’s Chieftaness and is available when they reach Level 55, Rank 6.

Primathia Missions:

The Primathia missions comprise a variety of quests, such as the one where players must contact Pherimociel in Ru Lude Gardens and complete 1-1 Rites of Life beneath the Arks.

  • The Light of Dem, Light of Mea, and Light of Holla are the three main reward items that can be obtained by leveling up, getting one or two below the Arks, and finishing The Mothercrystals. Examine the broken crystals to obtain these, then go into Promyvion and try to defeat the Empties. For a party of six, you will need five summoners, one tank, or four mgs with one tank, one whm, and one tank.
  • CoP 1-2 After completing the CoP 1-1 Rites of Life mission, proceed to the Ru’Lude Gardens below the Arks to speak with the Pherimociel.
  • CoP 1-2 Inferior to the Ark/CoP 1-3 The Mothercrystals: To complete the quest, speak with the Pherimociel at Ru’ Lude Gardens to learn more about the Crystals. You can also obtain information about the Crystals at telepoints.
  • CoP 1-1 Rites of Life: Obtaining the Chains of Promanthia expansion pack is a prerequisite for the quest, and doing so will allow you to reach the Lower Delkufts Tower. To obtain the Mysterious Amulet, contact Dr. Monberaux at G-10, which is situated in the Upper Jeuno, once the mission commences.

Conclusion

Although Final Fantasy XI has a large number of missions and quests, we have attempted to cover the most important ones. Additionally, you can initiate quests by simply speaking with NPCs or gate guards, but it’s recommended that you use the main menu to do so.
