Park Min Young reveals her 3 favorite characters among her K-drama roles

With a career spanning almost 20 years, South Korean actress Park Min Young has played various characters in numerous Korean dramas.

Ahead of her first-ever fan meet in Manila, the Korean star met the members of the press on Saturday, where she revealed her favorite characters among her K-drama roles.

According to Min Young, there are three characters she loved playing the most. They are Kim Yoon Hee from "Sungkyunkwan Scandal," Kim Mi So of "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim," and Kang Ji Won of "Marry My Husband."

"I had a hard time playing these characters but it's so meaningful to me [because] they all motivated me to be better as an actor and as a human being also. So they are memorable for me," she said.

In "Sungkyunkwan Scandal," Kim Yoon Hee is an intelligent and resourceful young woman who disguises herself as a boy in order to enter the most prestigious learning institution in Joseon—the Sungkyunkwan University.

Meanwhile, as Kim Mi So of "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim," she played the role of the highly competent and dedicated secretary to the narcissistic vice-chairman of a large corporation, Lee Young Joon, played by Park Seo Joon.

Lastly, in the recent revenge melodrama "Marry My Husband," she portrayed Kang Ji Won, a woman who works for U&K Food as an assistant manager and spends her days burdened by an incompetent husband, neglectful in-laws, and a hard work life. She also becomes a cancer patient at a young age.

Park Min Young is currently in the Philippines for her "My Brand New Day in Manila" fan meet on May 12 at the SM North EDSA SkyDome.

Aside from "Sungkyunkwan Scandal," "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim," and "Marry My Husband," the 38 year-old actress also appeared in "City Hunter" and "Forecasting Love and Weather."
