What’s Happening
Last week, we shared with you the work that the Facilities Planning Committee has been doing to examine the issue of declining student enrollment and how the district can best use the facilities it has, including the new Raleigh Hills Elementary School being built.
In May 2022, Beaverton voters approved a $723 million bond to fund several projects within BSD, including the rebuild of Raleigh Hills Elementary — a school built in 1927 that currently has the worst Facilities Condition Assessment (FCA) score of any elementary school in the district.
BSD is seeking applicants for the Language Arts and English Language Proficiency (LA/ELP) Curriculum Adoption Committee for grades 6-12.
BSD is currently in the process of selecting a new elementary school curriculum to recommend to the School Board for adoption in the content areas of Language Arts and English Language Proficiency. An important part of this process is community input from staff, parents and community members.
It’s time to think about pre-kindergarten! BSD is excited to announce the expansion of our pre-K programs. Here’s a list of our pre-K sites for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year:

OUR PROMISE
Belong. Believe. Achieve.
"At Beaverton School District, all students belong. We embrace, honor and celebrate our differences — race, color, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity and language. We're committed to eliminating the structures, policies and practices that perpetuate inequalities in our schools and causes these differences to become predictors of future success. At BSD, all students are learners, capable of limitless possibilities.”
