Branch out to something other than 9x19, or you are pretty much buying the same gun over and over.

How would this be the same gun..?

To be clear, im not throwing shade. It’s an observation about how ridiculous it is to think that an extra half inch of barrel or grip makes any real world difference at all in how the things shoot, handle or perform.

Glock is brilliant. They sell what people want at a pace just slower than people prefer. In spite of fears of competing with itself, Glock basically sells the same set of parts in slightly different configurations and the product sells and sells.

Buying a 45 and a 49 makes the 47, 19 and 17 absolutely redundant. Buying a 43 and a 48 makes the 43X completely redundant. See what I mean? It’s just funny to me how we (myself included) will spend $550 for a slightly shorter dust cover that makes absolutely no difference in how the gun works whatsoever. Glock has the hooks in deep.

If you want to have some fun with outstanding accuracy, get a 21, or a 40. I have one of each and they’re ball-on-ball accurate. 9x19 guns are accurate enough, but nothing to write home about. The bearing surface on 115 gr. bullets is so short, it is easier for them to wobble a little bit when compared to a more cylindrical bullet like a 10mm.

Honestly that half inch plays a big part for me on concealing with a mag. 45 wasnt as easy. 19 alot more doable

I’ll give you that. I carried a G22 concealed for 7 or 8 years before switching to my current G23. The butt is a bit easier to hide.

On the other hand, plopping a 17 slide on a 19 frame, engraving a “49” on the side and calling it some sort of innovation is a bit of a stretch. Let’s be honest with ourselves.
