Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Linda W21 contributionsDefinitely a must do if you are in Launceston. The walks are great but if you want to just chill out on the lawn by the swimming pool, that is ok too. Peacocks roam around. Cafes can get very busy.Written 23 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- JWalkSydney, Australia6 contributionsWe did a self drive winery tour of the Tamar valley and it was so great. Lots of little quirky wineries run by the couples that own them. Loved it!Written 27 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mumma&CoTimaru, New Zealand6,261 contributionsAbsolutely excellent! The same chairlift since 1972 & it's super cool! The views are just stunning with the lake, pool & walking tracks. Like that it didn't go too fast & chairs were well spaced out. Appreciated the voucher in the entertainment book too!Written 29 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SydneyTravellerSydney186 contributionsWe went here because our kids wanted to do some of the activities at hollybank adventures and this was nearby.
It was such a lovely little walk and was beautiful. It was so nice to walk along the stream, and listen to the soothing sound of the babbling water over the rocks and see the pretty little waterfall at the end. I’d highly recommend itWritten 26 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Easy parking. The walk was much longer than we expected which we were happy with. Very peaceful. A good variety of birds to be seen. Beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Toilets were located at the far end of the walk and I was pleasantly surprised to see a picnic and BBQ area there also. Well worth stopping for 💕Written 25 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- firemanwazSunbury, Australia8 contributionsA fascinating delve into not only Tasmania's history, but Australia's as well. Well worth a visit. We spent over 2 hours looking around the estate. Our guide was extremely well informed and knew her history very well. Thanks for a lovely day.Written 11 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- westy54Sydney, Australia9,117 contributionsWe walked through this lovely park on a number of occasions travelling from our accommodation to various cafes and restaurants.
The park area was originally a claypit used to make bricks then a military drill ground before being established as a park in 1858. It was officially opened a year later in 1859 when the historic Val d'Osne Fountain was turned on.
The beautiful fountain, which appears to be located in the centre of the park, is the central point for the meeting of the main paths that run diagonally from each corner. There is also a main pathway that runs around the perimeter.
The trees, many of them elms with some oaks, and plants are very lush and there is also a vast expanse of grass and a good number of seats.
At the corner of one entrance to the park is a statue of Dr William Pugh who reportedly was the first doctor to use general anaesthetic in the Southern Hemisphere for a surgical operation.Written 23 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The team at Hollybank Adventures is so organised and it is so well run with safety always at the forefront of their minds, that it’s a pleasure to support this business. They were also kind enough to change the date of our booking at no extra cost, as our plans had changed.
The kids did the ropes course again and loved it. This time the second activity they chose was the Segway, instead of the mountain bikes again and my husband joined them. They had lots of fun, but unfortunately my husband fell off and was injured (it was his fault because he wedged himself between 2 trees by accident).
My husband and I drove to lilydale falls nearby and did the 20 min beautiful walk whilst the kids did the ropes course. I’d highly recommend it too.
I also went for a walk around the area when they were on the Segway and came back and had an excellent chai latte and sat on a sofa by the fire at reception whilst I waited for them to come back.
I’d advise anyone doing the Segway to wear very warm clothes around this time of the year (April) because they said it was freezing with the wind from the movement and being in the shade.Written 26 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
