A must see at the waterfront area. Vibrant atmosphere and madness with people taking photos like no tomorrow. We went there at 5:00pm so we can admire both the day and night scene.
One can take a ferry to cross the huangpu river for 2 yuan a person.
Do keep personal stuff close due to people traffic.

Do take a pic with the Shanghai Bull at the Bund. It’s quite similar to the one in Wall Street, New York

Visited the fabric market to get a suit made. On the strength of other reviews we chose Jojo tailor at stall No 134.
Jojo made the experience a fun one. Choosing the fabric, have the measurements taken and then the suit was ready on time for a fitting.
Beautifully made and excellent quality, the suit required a little adjustment for a perfect fit. We were leaving the next day, and the altered suit, plus 3 business shirts we decided to add on, were delivered to our hotel on time the next morning.
A fantastic experience and we highly recommend Jojo.

Beautiful! Must in Shanghai. The area right outside the mansion also really nice with shops to look around and walk. Fun. Almost like an outdoor shopping mall.

Spectacular, massive, huge, but very crowded.

We got the 2-ball tickets which gave us access to the 263m, 259m glass deck, and 78m futuristic deck. The viewing glass panels were old and had some blurry marks and scratches which made the overall experience a little less spectacular, but you could enjoy a 360° view of Shanghai overseeing the skyscrapers and Huangpu river. At the 259m deck is the all-round glass floor where you look down all the way to the ground floor, very exciting but not for the faint. Again it was very crowded so it dampens our experience a little.

The 78m deck brings you through a virtual tour of Shanghai history via a moving travelator, it took us a long queue and wait to get there so we felt it could be skipped.

There's a shopping mall under the tower for snacks and souvenirs but if you're thinking to get the pearl tower shaped ice cream do note it's only available on the 263m deck.

Worth a visit but ticket is not cheap at RMB199 per pax.

It has been around ten years since our last visit and we were keen to see the exhibitions. Then, there was a wonderful exhibit showcasing the terracotta warriors.

It was an interesting sight to see the building, which is in the shape of an old imperial wine cup traditionally used by the Emperor.

Unfortunately, this time, three of the galleries were closed, and the exhibit on Leonardo da Vinci had just ended. Nevertheless, they still had similar galleries showcasing the clothing and jewellery of the minority groups in China, as well as calligraphy and Chinese paintings. We liked the wooden furniture exhibition.

All in all, we spent on,y an hour here this time, due to the gallery closures.

Entry is free via a QR code, and you need your passport. You can register at the booth outside near the souvenir store, and entry is then further round the corner at the southwest entrance. The nearest Metro exit is number 1, and the museum is closed on Mondays. There is another branch of the museum in Pudong.

For lots of foreigners in Shanghai, this is the place to go. It still looks French and there is an international feel as there are restaurants from all over the place. So many restaurants. So much great food. It's a great place to walk and a great place to eat!

A great shopping road if you have money to spend. But also just a great people watching road. Has a nice atmosphere at night and well worth walking along the road at night.

A lot of things changed during COVID-19 Pandemic, but not the extraordinary service provided by Heping Fandian's team! Heping Hotel has been my favorite hotel in China since 2018. I met Zoey, their talented and excellent front desk operator who helped me a lot during my stay. China is changing rapidly since last I was there. Zoey was kind and informative. She made my visit in China much more easier. The room she gave me have impeccable street view. It always makes me want to extend my stay.

If you are looking for interesting food other than Chinese food, this is a good place to start. Even if not for meals, taking a stroll and taking in the architecture is just as pleasant.

The museum is a fantastic time machine bringing you back to a bygone era in China. The posters were engaging and interesting to watch. You can easily spend and hour here. There is also a good museum shop where you can even buy original posters.

Finding the museum was a bit tricky. It is located between two banks on Yannan road.

The view you see is during the cruise is amazing. However to get this view we had to upgrade to the VIP tickets on the boat, which puts you at the front of the boat. That gives unobstructed views. Important to note though that people are allowed to smoke on the boat and they do. The volume of people pushing in the lines to get to the boat, on the stairs and at the top of the boat was troubling to us, noting this might not be an issue for others. We think it is a must do whilst in Shanghai and upgrading to the VIP is important if you want space, an outside view and not be pushed as much.
