Hello A-J readers!

This week was, thankfully, fairly light.

I received two updates on previously reported businesses. The Brass Tap, a brewpub franchise coming to 11108 Slide Road, is tentatively expected to open in August. The Human Bean, a franchise known for community outreach and sustainably-sourced menu items, announced it will open at 7019 82nd St. in the Spring of 2024, although a more specific date was not immediately available. The drive-thru is currently in the works.

A spokesperson from Kohl's reached out Wednesday morning to let us know that the Lubbock location, 3307 98th St., will be one of 200 to have a Babies"R"Us selection. The selection will have "the latest in baby gear, furniture, activities, accessories, and more," according to the spokesperson. An opening date has not been announced.

Going into next week, I'm looking forward to learning about pickleball, comic con and some other interesting things coming up. Stay tuned for details.

As always, thank you for reading and supporting the A-J.
