The new tour of 101 Dalmatians The Musical has released a video featuring the writer of the show, actor and composer Douglas Hodge, singing a number from the new musical.
Douglas Hodge performs ‘A Hundred and One” from the show. Hodge has written the music and lyrics for 101 Dalmatians The Musical, alongside a book by Johnny McKnight, from a stage adaptation by Zinnie Harris.
This new musical version of Dodie Smith’s classic book first premiered at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, and is touring the UK & Ireland from June 2024.
The show will be brought to life on stage with spectacular puppetry, show-stopping choreography, witty songs and irresistible puppies!
Kym Marsh and Faye Tozer will share the role of Cruella de Vil in the show, with Kym Marsh opening the tour at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 22 June 2024, and Faye Tozer taking on the iconic role at Norwich on 9 July 2024 and at Canterbury, Leicester and Wolverhampton. 101 Dalmatians is directed by Bill Buckhurst, with set design by David Woodhead, costumes design by Sarah Mercadé and choreography by Lucy Hind. Musical supervision is by Alfonso Casado Trigo, orchestrations by Jack Hopkins, puppet design by Jimmy Grimes, lighting design by James Whiteside and sound design by Chris Whybrow. The musical director is Leigh Thompson, and casting director is Lucy Casson.
