Question
There is a few less popular shows that I can't find on public ddl forums and the torrents are dead due to age/popularity. Is there a tool I can use on fmovies where I can download the video from their site?

FMovies-dot-to uses mostly HLS videos (videos split in segments, several .TS files), which makes things more complicated to download.
It's not a single big .MP4 file that you can just grab the link to.
If you don't know how to use a HTTPS traffic sniffer like Fiddler or mitmproxy so you can see what the video player on the webpage is doing, then it can't be done.
Thanks for the insight. I hadn't thought of using a https traffic sniffer, I wasn't sure how they did it, like if it was an embedded file or remotely on a network or something of that sort. Seems to be that way unfortunately. Thanks for the help!
I think their
vidstreamandmycloudsources are internal and might have some timing protection to prevent downloads.At the time of this writing their external sources are
videovardandstreamtape, you might have more luck focusing on those since they can be accessed outside of fmovies (i.e. they don't care where you're coming from, if it's a direct visit or the embedded player on fmovies).Gotcha. Don't leave us hanging, what did you use to download? IDManager works but the audio as well as the video stutter badly.
What ended up working for me, was using a tool called video download helper, the link to their site is downloadhelper dot net/install
Its just a browser extension, and then I went to fmovies. Once I clicked play on a video, I'd click the on button in the toolbar, it told me to download a exe for extra tools or something, then it would let me download the video in full quality. Worked flawlessly.

I personally have not. JDownloader couldn't find anything to download, and as another user said, it downloads but its choppy and bad quality. The method I use so far has worked for me. I was able to download what I wanted in full quality.
Hi there. I tried using downlodhelper, and downloaded the companion app, but I still can't download it for some reason. It says it's running, but then nothing happens. Are you using chrome or can you tell me more details? thanks!
I use Firefox, and i only used the browser extension. When i tried to download, it had me download an exe, for extra tools. Never used a companion app. After i ran the extra tools exe, it worked fine for me. Let me know if this helps or if you still have issues!

jdownloader might be able to do it, i just recommend you only watch fmovies in a browser that you use for nothing else and a java script blocker.
I normally use a very locked down firefox, or tor. I tried JDownloader and I unfortunately couldn't get any results. Thanks for the comment!

if you have the 'free download manager' chrome extension you can right click when the video is playing, hover over "Free Download Manager" then select download video. (you need free download manager's app) and it downloads all of the .ts files, which are usually 10
