Lasith Malinga is widely known for his toe-crushing yorkers. Malinga has a rare round-arm action, which makes it tougher for batsmen to read his deliveries. Malinga is the only bowler to take four wickets in four consecutive balls in international cricket. He announced his retirement from Test cricket in April 2011 to prolong his career in limited-overs matches. Malinga made his Test debut against Australia in July 2004 and later in the same month he played his first ODI against UAE. During his short Test career, he played 30 matches for Sri Lanka and took 101 wickets at 33.15 runs apiece. Malinga has been very successful in the shortest version of the game too as he till 21st May 2011 leads the Purple Cap race in the Indian Premier League with 27 wickets in 13 matches for Mumbai Indians.
