      Critics Consensus

Not even the earnest performances of the two leads can rescue The Bucket List from its schmaltzy script.

Deborah Ross The Spectator As Rob Reiner should know better and Jack Nicholson should know better and Morgan Freeman should know better, what you have here is a film which has to make you ask: how come they didn't? Akash A This movie made me cry. One of the most touching, heartfelt, feel-good movies to see. Great performances from both stars, amazing sets / settings, locations, script / dialog, interpersonal relationships. Just a joy to watch. Can't recommend this movie enough. You feel so free and light after -- just in totality. It is an amazing watch and I could see it again. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/06/24 Full Review Devin H Magic incarnate. A+ performances from all. Feel-good and down to earth message that connects with all walks of life. Nothing to complain about or criticize. A few cheesy moments, sure. All in all, it gets the message across perfectly for what it is. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/20/24 Full Review EllaJo r I really enjoyed this movie. I think I will go back and see it again. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/24 Full Review Ghost R Great performance and heartwarming moments the bucket list is a movie that is sad but worth a watch Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/03/24 Full Review Jens J Good concept, well written and well executed. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/01/24 Full Review matthias s "The Bucket List" is a heartwarming and touching movie wich delivers a message about living life to the fullest, cherishing every moment, and making the most of the time we have. The characters' bucket list items range from the simple to the extravagant, and their journey takes them around the world in search of new experiences. However, the film does have some flaws. The pacing can be slow at times, and some of the scenes feel contrived or overly sentimental. Additionally, some of the characters' choices and actions may not make sense or feel inconsistent with their personalities. Despite its flaws, "The Bucket List" is an enjoyable movie that will tug at your heartstrings and leave you feeling inspired. If you're looking for a feel-good movie with great performances from two iconic actors, "The Bucket List" is worth watching. Just don't expect it to be perfect.
