My brother and I spent 3 nights here for a mini ski break and we were exceptionally happy with this hotel! The staff gave 100% at all times and made us feel very welcome. They were very accommodating and super friendly. The rooms were lovely and clean and breakfast was delicious! Would recommend this hotel to my friends and family. The customer service was second to none! 5 star quality!

We stayed in this hotel for a skiing week holiday in February 2010.
We had booked 2 rooms as we were in total 5 adults + 1 baby.
The hotel is within 5/10 mn walk from the nearest gondola lift.
There is also a ski bus stopping in front of the hotel running every 15 mn.
The rooms are very nicely furnished. We were staying there in half board and the food was delicious (the 4/5 course menu was changing every evening and we usually had a choice between fish or meat) The service was very good.
On the top floor there is is also a very well maintained sauna.
On the first floor, there are 2 rooms for children and babies with all the necessary toys.
Internet connection is available for free in every room through a cable and it is working fine (we had our laptop with us) Parking is available for free 100 meters from the hotel in a closed and covered parking lot.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling with children and/or for a romantic gateaway.

We loved this hotel and absolutely plan to go back - I would love to go to this area in the summer as well as winter. The Mooslechner family were so accommodating and helpful. This hotel is family run and very well too.

The Hotel generally - The cleanest hotel I think I have ever stayed in. Honestly, this place was spotless! We have two children (3 and 5) our room was cleaned daily and all their little crumbs vacuumed. I don't think I saw a speck of dust on anything in the hotel! The whole presentation of the hotel is typically Austrian and is so homely and furnished to a high standard. Lots of hanging space in our room, which we have struggled with before in hotels when you have damp winter clothes to air.

A great playroom for the children, which, in the evenings, has a member of staff on hand to keep an eye on the kids or do activities with them while you're still eating. We didn't know this for the first few nights, but what a brilliant idea! The kids loved it too as they were bored waiting for us, they also made some little German friends.

Food - Utterly amazing! This chef can seriously cook (I believe it is Mr Mooslechner). Not a single complaint about the food. We were on a package that meant 5 course meals every night! We didn't have all 5, by dessert just couldn't do it! Salad and fruit always fresh, meat cooked perfectly and sometimes we went for the vegetarian option which was always really tasty. The main meal always had a meat/fish or vegetarian option. Separate children's menu, cutlery and even kiddie napkins. Breakfast good, always replenished and varied.

Room - we had a room with another little room in it for the kids - they loved their room with the bunk beds. The room is furnished to a high standard. The bathroom was big and very well presented. Never a shortage of towels.

The spa/wellness room is lovely, not that we got to use it with skiing and two noisy kids!

Good wifi, never dropped off.

There is a bar attached to the hotel - I don't know if noise is an issue as our room was on the 3rd floor, but maybe worth checking out when booking.

If, like us, you like your morning cuppa or coffee before going down for breakfast then take a travel kettle. They happily provided us with mugs, we had our own teabags.

I almost didn't want to write a review and wanted to keep it a secret....!

We decided to spend one week of winter holidays in Grossarl with our family of 5 with no prior knowledge of the place. Basically, I asked for a room in bunch of different places, and had a best sounding offer from Hotel Neuwirt in Grossarl. A family studio for 4 with one extra bed.
We had a great and convinient room with a large balcony, a view to the mountains and the old village church and rooftops. The hotel was clean, breakfast was good, every evening a five-course meal of well made, contemporary cuisine. The owners were really nice, and everything we needed was easily arranged. A garage was around the corner, ski bus every 15 minutes in front of the hotel from 8.38 to 5 p.m.
Only downside was the occasional cigarette smoke around the ski room, but that was no big deal. We didn't try the many services the hotel has to offer, but heard good things about them.
A good shop next to the hotel, a couple of bakeries. No need to eat much during the day skiing, since there was basically a meal served from 2-5 p.m., and the dinner starting at 6 p.m.
Lots of other families, and couples without children, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and you got to know many people dining in the table next to you.
Grossarl is a good place to ski especially for intermediates, and good for family skiing. Seemingly much freeride available, but we had no fresh snow during the trip. The valley and village are very beautiful and have really an alpine feel, and you can ski your way to bad gastein if you want more slopes.
Remember to hit the gondola early, preferably befor nine to avoid queues. More room to ski on the dorfgastein side. Also, the afternoons are less crowded, and the snow remains in good condition high in the mountain.

A very nice hotel, beautifully renovated. Cozy and stylish. Very centrally located with a fine beer garden. Optional parking in the nearby underground car park. Three beautiful dining rooms, modern as a breakfast room, cozy pine parlor and the food bar that can be used for a variety of things to eat, drink or for small festivities. There is also a spa area under the roof. We would love to come back. Iris and Carsten
