Sometimes certain incidents spur teams on and bring them together in a tournament. Delhi Capitals will hope that is the case with them. They were dealt a huge blow as Mitch Marsh, Tim Seifert and some of the coaching staff tested positive for Covid but like Rishabh Pant said at the toss they will find strength and face this challenge together, so other teams watch out! Meanwhile, Punjab Kings have to reassess their all out attack with the bat as more often than not they have found themselves in the midst of collapses and also have to rethink their XI as they were a batter short today. That's all from this one-sided contest. Tomorrow is the big one - Mumbai Indians v Chennai Super Kings. Two most successful teams in the IPL but also two teams at the bottom this season. Both need a win badly and hopefully the game lives up to the IPL Clasico billing. This is Akshay Maanay signing off on behalf of Nikhil Jadhav, Pradeep Krishnamurthy and Mukesh. Goodbye..

Kuldeep Yadav | Player of the Match: I would like to share this award with Axar. He bowled well and took important wickets in the middle. I have played a lot against KG (Rabada) and I know he does not move his feet much, my plan was to bowl one chinaman and then the googly. The second wicket was due to Rishabh telling to bowl from round the wicket. To be very honest, I have got plenty of confidence this season and I am also mentally clear with my role. I just focus on my line and length and not on what the batter is going to do. I don't watch videos now, when you are very confused you watch videos to see what a batter might do. I am enjoying my bowling after a long time and the credit goes to Rishabh for backing me. That gives a lot of confidence for a bowler and that is a plus point for us.

Rishabh Pant | Winning captain: Obviously there was confusion in our camp because in the morning we got to know that Tim (Seifert) is also positive. There was some confusion, nervousness and what are we going to do now kinda feeling, but we spoke in the team meeting and pointed out on what we can focus, there was so much noise from the outside that we thought we will focus on the match. Mostly I like to leave them (Shaw and Warner) lone as everyone knows their roles in the team. We will look to improve in every match and that's the only thing we can control, results are not in our control but we can learn from our mistakes. On a wicket like this I thought the ball was stopping a bit and that's why I used more of the spinners.

David Warner: I think the bowlers did a fantastic job and made it easier for us. We had to go hard in the powerplay during the chase. It was a different surface compared to the last night, but credit to our bowlers. Was grateful that we were able to get out of our rooms and play tonight. I was just trying to be positive and am happy to have played with Shaw.. For me it's about sticking to the basics and I tried to put my best footwork forward, hopefully I ll be able to do going forward. My kids just want to know why I cannot get hundred like Jos (Buttler) does. It's great that the little ones around the world keep watching this game.

Mayank Agarwal | Losing captain: It's a tough one, a day to forget for us, best to move on and not think too much into the game. We didn't bat and bowl well, we just need to move on from today. We have been losing too many wickets too early, that's a concern. Don't want to dwell too much, if we do so, a lot of negatives will come out. A total of around 180 could have been competitive. In hindsight, I could have given a couple of overs early for the spinners, but I didn't do so.

22:17 Local Time, 16:47 GMT: The fate of this match was decided in the first innings itself. 115 was never going to challenge this Delhi Capitals side. The only way for Punjab Kings to make a match of it was by picking few early wickets but instead it was carnage from Shaw and Warner. The pair recorded their fourth consecutive 50+ opening stand and brought up that landmark in just 3.3 overs. The buck didn't stop there as they raced to 81 in the powerplay, making it the highest for the season. After that it was a mere formality as they chased down the total in 10.3 overs and boosted their NRR. Early on, Punjab Kings' go-all-guns-blazing approach backfired spectacularly as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and couldn't get to a respectable total. In hindsight, with the kind of mood the Delhi openers were in, no score might have been enough. Hang around for the presentations..

10.3

Rahul Chahar to Warner, FOUR, Delhi Capitals win by 9 wickets. This is a proper thrashing as they get the job done with 57 balls to spare. Handshakes in the Delhi dugout. Chahar drops it short and Warner pulls in front of square, beating deep mid-wicket to his left

10.2

Rahul Chahar to Sarfaraz Khan, 1 run, fraction short around off, Sarfaraz cracks it square and the sweeper tidies up

10.1

Rahul Chahar to Warner, 1 run, slow and turning in, Warner nurdles it backward of square leg

9.6

Nathan Ellis to Warner, 1 run, full toss around off, Warner eases it towards cover where the fielder fumbles and concedes the single

9.5

Nathan Ellis to Sarfaraz Khan, 1 run, fuller and around off, Sarfaraz pushes it to mid-off and quickly crosses over

9.5

Nathan Ellis to Sarfaraz Khan, wide, bouncer down leg, Sarfaraz takes it on but does not manage to get any bat on that, called wide for the line

9.4

Nathan Ellis to Warner, 1 run, leg-lined delivery and Warner tucks it to deep backward square leg

9.3

Nathan Ellis to Warner, FOUR, fifty for Warner. Three fifties in a row for the Australian and he's truly back to his best. 53rd in IPL. The entire team stand and applaud and he acknowledges that with a bat raise. Slower delivery angled across, Warner waits and steers it to third man, races away beating the fielder in the deep

9.2

Nathan Ellis to Sarfaraz Khan, 1 run, short of length around off, Sarfaraz steers it to third man and hands the strike back to Warner

Harsha Bhogle: One team posts the lowest score of the season, the other posts the highest power play score with an over left! Mismatch today.

9.1

Nathan Ellis to Sarfaraz Khan, no run, back of a length on off, Sarfaraz is right behind the line to defend

Nathan Ellis [1.0-0-6-0] is back into the attack

8.6

Rahul Chahar to Warner, FOUR, this would have been straight down Arshdeep's throat had he been on the boundary rope. But he's well in to save the two and the ball clears him. Warner goes for the slog sweep and does not connect as well as he would have liked, just manages to evade deep mid-wicket and pick up the boundary
