I feel the staff was genuinely interested in taking care of our party of 5. Thank you for the complimentary baked Alaska, that was a nice touch! Joey/Jose Santiago was our server, dare I say he was an EXCELLENT server. His detail, attention and knowledge = impeccable. My baby was also treated with respect and kindness, as a parent who doesn’t get out often and is in the mood for a quality dinner and experience, it was a relief to not feel uncomfortable because I have a baby at the table. Pierot was wonderful as well, he has a great personality and way to make guests feel comfortable. The food was outstanding, the stone crabs & branzino are to die for!

Would then recommend transitioning to a proper table for dinner, as the bar area is quite close to the live piano/singer which is a bit loud for continuing conversation over dinner.

We were in the room furthest from him and the best part was when he took a break so we could hear each other. Please turn down the speakers. Music is meant to enhance not overpower. Trulucks was in La Jolla, San Diego for a decade and all of a sudden left. Very disappointing. Our waiter Kiley what’s outstanding! We had Stone crab claws, Oysters, Seabass, scallops, lobster bisque, wedge, salad, and salmon! Freaking delicious 🤤 Consider coming back to SD!!!

This did not disappoint . We took some friends and we all had a superb evening . the fish was simply divine .

What a perfect choice. From the moment we walked through the doors, everything about our visit was to the highest quality. Our waiter Marvin was outstanding, exemplifying professionalism to the highest level . He expertly explained the menu and offered several great suggestions. We ended up starting with the oysters and stone crabs. Both options were outstanding. The freshest possible. We chose the sea bass and grouper. Both were expertly prepared. The service from the entire team is to be commended. Always ensuring that everything was up to standard. Dessert soon followed With a baked Alaska flambéd tableside. It was the perfect ending . I can’t say enough good things. about the restaurant. The experience was everything dining out should be.

The portions have shrunk substantially. Like regulars would not notice? No more a good value for the expense. Need to sharpen your kitchen skills to remian competitive. A so-so steak and samllish scallops just will not do for the $$$ charged. Cocktails were weak. What happened to to generous pours? Too much competition out there to take this lightly. You will die on the vine if you dont get your act together.
