Karl-Anthony Towns popularly known among basketball fans as KAT, is the star center of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Picked first overall in the 2015 NBA Draft, Towns made history by becoming the third-ever Kentucky player to be picked first overall.

In July of 2022, KAT signed a whopping four-year $224 million supermax extension contract which will kick in from the 2024/25 season. As per reports, the deal is fully guaranteed with an annual average salary of $55.6 million and comes with a final-year player option.

With the salary cap rising every season, KAT became one of only 12 players in NBA history to sign a $200 million-plus deal, joining the likes of Nikola Jokic, Bradley Beal, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Devin Booker, Stephen Curry among others.
