WINDHAM, Ohio (WJW) – Strong storms swept across Ohio Wednesday evening, causing serious damage to homes and businesses.

Windham village and Windham Township in Portage County were hit particularly hard by a reported tornado, with many residents sharing photos and videos of the damage left in the storm’s wake.

Bucyrus in Crawford County was also hit hard, where the roof of a Dollar General partially caved in and other businesses suffered significant damage in the downtown area.

In Louisville of Stark County, a viewer’s security camera captured the moment part of her garage roof was ripped off by strong wind gusts.

Multiple tornado warnings were issued Wednesday night, including for areas of Portage and Crawford counties, but those have all since expired.

We’re waiting for the National Weather Service to confirm if any tornadoes touched down in the area.
