What happened to Demonoid?
Despite its popularity, Demonoid’s troubles with the government and the entertainment industry have caused it to go offline on multiple occasions. As of now, the website has been down since September 2018 and there are no signs of it coming back.
At first, Demonoid staff posted on the official Reddit forum that the torrent tracker is unavailable due to server problems. However, the key reason was the reported death of Demonoid’s founder in August 2018.

Despite several blocking attempts, the website is fully operational after a change in the domain name. Upon entering the URL we are directed to its homepage.
After searching for, or just clicking on a file on the homepage, we get the following description page with the “Magnet Download” option or “Download Torrent” option.
Where “Magnet Download” pulls a request from the browser to load the file into a torrent, the “Download Torrent” option downloads a file that, when clicked, loads the file to the uTorrent. Lots of bad quality torrents are found on Lime torrents, but it’s the good one that makes it stay on our list. Plus it’s hardly ever down.

dnoid.to
Dnoid.to is the new version of the Demonoid, although it no longer tracks torrents, just indexes and lets users add them. Launched by the same people in 2019, this website is still going strong. However, since early 2022, dnoit.to is available to registered users only.
Visitors can browse different categories, such as books, comics, movies, and games, among others. There are also Top 20 torrents in each category, updated every 20 minutes. What’s more, you can bookmark select torrents for downloading them later.
While dnoit.to is not our favorite torrent website, we still like to come back from time to time just to see that Demonoid interface once more.

Dnoid is gone and the need for sites like demonoid is greater than ever, so let’s hope more pop up soon. Lime torrents and RARBG work very well from what I saw but the new demonoid (if I can call it this) is the good, old The Pirate Bay. This site is a legend and I hope it never gets taken down for good. It’s always there. These 3 are probably the best torrent sites for movies.
Lime is great alternative. I think I’ve tried all the websites listed here and I remember liking Lime a lot. It was working well and I had no problems with the links or their content.
LimeTorrents is a great choice, I use that one all the time. I usually torrent books and games, and I find both of those there. Games are a little more complicated these days, but that’s just how things go. LimeTorrents is a good torrenting site to go with.
Always go with the old faithful, Pirate Bay. I don’t trust anything else, really, and whenever Pirate Bay goes down, it always comes back up in some form or fashion. I didn’t even know Demonoid was still running; I’m surprised it stayed up that long, to be perfectly honest with you.
A lot of the old sites are still up, actually! Lime torrents is still a thing. Pirate Bay is like, I think nearly two decades old now? I keep expecting the next takedown to be the last one, but it never is, stubborn old thing!
