Reviews
- Edited 11 years agoFor me this is THE most interesting collaboration HB has done with a guitarist (in this instance it's XTC's front-man). Fresh and varied compositions with Harold just that little bit more understated than found, say, on his works with Clive Wright or Robin Guthrie, leading to an always-engaging listen. It seems this partnership was a one-off, at least it was a good one, most compositions being somewhat removed from the standard (but loved) sound of his simple and effective piano style. Andy provides a great counterpoint with his guitars and effects, and the two short poems are reminiscent of the closing section from 'By The Dawn's Early Light' release.
