Yesterday, we had a magical experience and we are grateful to meet Lidia, the artist behind the Mirror House. More than an artist, she is a problem-solver and a wonderful person. You will love her story and you will see in her eyes the passion that even after years is still twinkling. The Mirror House showcases a room of mirror mosaics, paintings, and collection of a recycled items that were turned into amazing figures. She also hosts a game that builds a connection with us. Her insight about life is truly remarkable. This is a must visit in Kuwait!

I would certainly advise anyone visiting Kuwait to put this museum on their priority list.
If you look at the photos on this site you will see most of the work. HOWEVER, the context so beautifully and enthusiastically demonstrated by the artist herself, brings everything so alive. This is my 108th country visit and no museum worldwide has had such an impact.
The practical nature for beginning this artwork, up to the development of a wonderfully insightful artist is a fascinating story in its own right.
Truly, inspirational and a positive role model for women.

My wife and I recently visited here and enjoyed it. You need to reserve the tour in advance. It is led primarily by Mrs. Lidia Al Qattan, the woman who created the mirror house. She is assisted by her adult daughter during the first half of the tour.
The tour takes a little over two hours. The first half is primarily on the first floor where all of the mirror art is located. The second half focuses on art by Mrs. Al Qattan and her late husband which is located on the second floor. I preferred the first floor portion but the second floor was also enjoyable as Mrs. Al Qattan is very entertaining and interesting.
Highly recommended.

The house in itself is attraction and to can be considered as one of a kind places to visit. At of all the places I have ever seen I can sincerely say that this house holds one of the most unique stories that have I have ever encountered.
Mrs. Lydia And her daughter or the most gracious hosts and the most polite people I have come to see in a touristic attraction, Keeping in mind that this is the house they Grew up in.
The information in the stories that they provided about the construction and reconstruction of the various phases of the house along with the history of Kuwait are in themselves priceless.
I advise every single person to visit this venue. From entering the house to the exit of the house is one continuous tale of family, history, persistence and passion.
I cannot give any more advice than simply to just go and have a look.

It is hard to summarize this one. The Italo-Kuwaiti woman, now in her 80s, who designed the outside and inside of the house with mirror mosaics is remarkable and excited to show off her work. The more photos you take, the better she likes it. This really is a fascinating sight, not to be missed.

This was the most dashing experience in Kuwait City by far. The house is a unique masterpiece and we owe it to an amazing woman, the owner of the house.
She is an artist in more ways than one. She’s an accomplished painter, a great storyteller and the creator of this fabulous place.
You will be pampered throughout your visit at the house and prepare yourself to be amazed. From the cinnamon tea with delicious cookies and a throwing contest rewarded with cute gifts to a travel in the mirror world and the entire Universe the visit to the Mirror House is a unique and wonderful adventure.

Thank you very much for your feedback. It is most appreciated. However, we believe that you may have visited the Mirror House PRIOR to the Covid-19 pandemic because NOW, things are a little different when it comes to serving refreshment for the safety of our visitors.

This is by far the best art museum in the Middle East. It is simply amazing. Authentic, genuine Kuwaiti artistic soul and mesmerizing art. God bless Lydia Al-Qattan, the most genuine and kind-hearted old lady. She is the true face of Kuwait 🇰🇼❤️

I was there ten years ago while working as an English teacher in Kuwait. I see the site has grown in importance. I cant remember how we heard of the place at the time but it was definitely interesting to visit and the owner very welcoming. Had to put Oct 2019 date on here but was there in 2009....

This place open half an hour, twice daily. It’s a private property. My family and I struggled to arrive at the right time 11:00-11:30 am. A big disappointment when we arrived, we met a lady, she told: you have to make appointment in advance.
Traveling early tomorrow so have to skip it. Just taking few exterior photos.
