Tribute posts have been flooding social media from those who got to know Juice WRLD or were just impacted by his music from afar before his death. Nearly 10 days later, Lil Bibby, a mentor of Juice’s and an executive at the Grade A Productions label he was signed to, broke his silence Tuesday (Dec. 17) with a heartbreaking post eulogizing his late friend.
“Rest easy lil brother, Young GOAT, Most talented I’ve ever witnessed,” he wrote alongside a video of Juice showing off his freestyling ability. “You will be missed. Watched you 1 take platinum records. Gonna miss u freestyling around the crib all day even though that shit got a lil irritating. Most genuine person I’ve ever met. Miss u, love u brother.”
Bibby, a former rapper, and his brother G-Money launched their Grade A Productions label in 2017 after discovering Juice WRLD’s “Lucid Dreams” bubbling on SoundCloud. Shortly after signing the fellow Chicago native to their label, Bibby and Grade A played a major role in leading Juice to inking his $3 million joint venture deal with Interscope in 2018.

“Anybody can listen to it, from a kid to a teenager to an adult,” Bibby told Complex of his sky-high expectations for Juice’s career earlier in 2019. “And the good thing is he pronounces all of his words and you can understand everything that he’s saying. Then he still got concepts in his music, too. I think he can be like Drake, for real. I think he can be like that because his music can touch everybody.”
