My hotel

Ambassadori

Doesn’t have a bar .

Was thinking

Will probably have a couple of beers on the beach and in the hotel before dinner..

Is Alcohol reasonable in the supermarket and can I find good quality wines for 5-6 euros .

Beer yes, wine maybe. Can't believe that your Hotel has no Bar. Even a 1* has one. How will they make Caffe?

Apparently no daytime bar .

Can you recommend a tried and tested bar with reasonable prices .

I really don't think you will be thirsty...I saw that it is near Piazza Mazzini...the main square.

If you want to save money, go in the opposite direction along the main road or to some kiosks on the beach (check the prices on the menus first)
