Milk and Honey was a charming brunch spot on our way out of town. We had a short wait as it was 11 on a Sunday, prime brunch time, however we filled this time with a short walk to the famous “What Lifts You” mural...for a photo op. The chicken biscuit was delicious. Our server recommended to honey hot sauce to top it off and it didn’t disappoint! Part of our party had the avocado toast and loved it as well. This was a great way to top off our great trip to Nashville!More

Milk and honey was recommended to us by 3 different Uber drivers over another local place and they were RIGHT. Cool place, great food and friendly people. We got there at just the right time after only a 10 minute wait we were seated and...being well taken care of by Marisa (with one S). Must try the Expresso Martini, the hodgepodge and the chicken biscuit. We were celebrating my 50th and my Fathers 75th Marisa and Brandon the manager went out of their way to make it great. Thank you,More

While there is a lot going on in America today. We had a great experience seeing people enjoying the day while patiently waiting to be served. I like southern food , so the Hot Mess was outstanding, Fresh Homemade Biscuit, eggs with the right amount...of spice and fresh fruit. Try the Ginger Molasses cookie! Support local business, these folks deserve a visit!More

We went to this place for breakfast on one Saturday. I guess that we were lucky as we waited for the table only 5 min. Food is very simple and good but I did not see any special. The disappointing part was that we waited...for food for a while (over 20 min) and our server was not attentive at all.More

Went there on a Saturday morning fairly early and waited in line for 30 minutes in the rain. They did have some tents to run between which helped. As you enter, you need to view the menu either on your phone or hanging on the...glass entry wall then you place your order, then move to the lobby of the building and wait to be called/texted for seating. Then the server brings your food in a brown bag. Your food is in a Styrofoam container and complete with disposable utensils. We ordered an omelet and waffles. The food was cold and nothing to write home about. This is the first time I have ever experienced this procedure. Save your money and time and find somewhere else.More

4 of us went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We got there at 8:30 am and only had a 10 minute wait. At 9:30 the line was very long. Place is big. We had the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit, omelet, and avocado...toast with 2 fried eggs. Everything was cooked perfect and timely. They are cold pressed juices which were delicious and each plate is served with hash browns or fruit. The fruit was very good. Would definitely recommend.More

Don’t waste your time, literally. I truly don’t know why this place is so popular. We waited 1 hour 45 mins for a table for 2, only to be served the saddest egg sandwich that has ever disgraced a plate. It was 2 pieces of...hard sour dough bread with a tough piece of overcooked prosciutto and a listless floppy single scrambled egg. The only reason this isn’t a 1 star review is bc of the shakshuka appetizer. It was really tasty and quite large. If you’re gonna waste a couple hours of your morning waiting to get into this place, you owe it to yourself to order it. But seriously, save your time and go somewhere else.More

This was the absolute worst breakfast I have ever had! Food and service were terrible. Every was burnt. They tried putting our group of 8 at a table for 6 and told us we would just have to deal with it. They made us go...to the bar to get our drinks. One person didn't get a fork for his breakfast and the other got a dirty fork. The place was mess and it was just all around bad experience. Do not go here!!!! I would give it a zero but I had to select one!More

We were so excited to try Milk and Honey on our recent visit to The Gulch. Unfortunately, our expectations and excitement were met with disappointment. The vibe and look of the restaurant is hip and cool, the line out the door is a testament to...the good experiences most people must have at this restaurant. Unfortunately, this was not the case for us. We arrived around 9am and were able to get a seat at the bar right away. Our server Phoebe was pleasant enough, giving a couple suggestions and quick to bring our coffee and oj. The OJ was cold pressed and tasty, and the cold brew was great. My husband had the bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a biscuit and he said it was fine. I ordered the Mushroom & Ricotta toast. The "toast" was not toasted at all, it was more like mushy bread that maybe went through a toaster for 15 seconds max. The toppings were very tasty, but I couldn't get over the soggy mushy bread beneath the eggs, mushroom and ricotta. Our server did not ask how we enjoyed our food, but when she was nearby I said "Hey, this is tasty but the bread is not toasted at all, it's really soggy and mushy." She was having a conversation with another employee behind the bar and simply said "Oh, I'm sorry" and continued on with their conversation. She did not offer to have the dish remade or ask me if I would like something else. I was so taken aback I just set the dish aside and finished my juice. She took my plate away which was less than half finished and did not seem concerned with the obvious fact that I did not enjoy my breakfast. I know I could have spoken up and asked for a remake or something else but I did bring the issue to her attention and was dismissed, so I did not feel comfortable pressing the issue. When breakfast is nearly $35 for two before cocktails, I expect better service than a flippant "I'm sorry" and dismissal.More

It's busy, with a wait and it's a good breakfast. Is it spectacular? Probably not. Is it an icon? Yes it is. The do have a coffee bar so you can grab one while you wait for your table (~35 minutes one MONDAY morning), but...seating at the bar is first come first served...so wait inside. The choices of food are the reason the average person takes 5-10 mins longer per meal. However, once you order...it comes quickly and good drip coffee to boot. Try it, wait a bit..you are on vacation after all.More

We recently ate breakfast at this restaurant during our Nashville visit hoping for a great breakfast based on some of the TA reviews. We arrived early in the AM expecting a crowd and great food. The restaurant was not busy at all and we were...seated immediately. The service was okay but the eggs, bacon and potatoes were just okay. I ordered $6.00 OJ and it was OJ concentrate which I've had better from Walmart. No freshly squeezed or at least freshly squeezed OJ delivered daily in such a well known breakfast restaurant? That was surprising to say the least. My wife ordered a biscuit with her meal hoping to try out the famous Nashville biscuits and it was hard as a rock and old. She mentioned it to the waiter and instead of him crediting the charge he simply asked if he could get her another one which she refused. The coffee was just okay too. We finished our meals and left the restaurant disappointed. Not sure what all the great TA reviews are all about? Maybe we just caught them on an off day.....More

I couldn't resist - I ordered the Hot Mess for breakfast and it was so worth it. The Hot Mess is a buttermilk biscuit topped with a sunny side up egg, avocado, bacon, pickled red onion, chipotle crema, pepper jack cheese, hot pepper jam and...cilantro. There's a lot going on there and it all works together perfectly. There is a ton of great flavor and a little bit of heat. Plus, the sandwich is very messy, which is part of the fun. My three friends all ordered something different and everyone enjoyed their breakfast. I would definitely recommend Milk & Honey.More

My husband and I kicked off a very busy day of Nashville touring with breakfast at Milk and Honey. My husband got cold brew and I got a Nutella latte with oat milk, both of which were delicious. For breakfast, I ordered the bacon, egg,...and cheese biscuit sandwich with a side of home fries which was absolutely fantastic! The egg was huge and fluffy, the biscuit was buttery and flaky and the bacon was perfectly crisp. Whatever seasoning they put on the potatoes was amazing as well. My husband ordered the Hodgepodge Hash which was phenomenal - so much flavor and every ingredient was cooked perfectly. We also got a buttermilk waffle to share on the side - deliciously crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle - exactly how waffles should be. Our server was really friendly and our food was served quickly so we were able to get in and out in great time to start our day. We'll definitely be back!More

This is a really cute restaurant with plenty of Instagram photos opportunities! It’s right around the corner from a bunch of cool murals too which was nice since we parked across the street and had some time to wander around The Gulch. We went on...a Tuesday at around 9 am and were met with no wait time, worth it to plan our trip during the week. Our food and coffee was excellent and we had a table in the back where you can watch the kitchen making all sorts of breads and pastries. I got the hot chicken and waffles and they were SO good. I would definitely dine here again, making sure to come again when there’s less chance of a huge wait!More

I randomly walked by Milk and Honey on my second day in Nashville last week and noticed a huge line which made me think "This place must be good!" I went in to ask how long a table would be a luckily two spots had...opened up on the outside bar which we were able to use. These seats are first come, first serve. Our server, Ally was excellent, kept saying I got you and was very helpful and informative in helping us navigate their huge menu! When I say huge, there seemed to be over 40 options for breakfast. I went with Hodgepodge Hash, an instant classic, and was impressed. The chipotle sauce used to top this Hash/Bowl dish was awesome. I left feeling comfortably full and happy :) My friend had the Hot Chicken and told me if you like spice, you will like this chicken. Thanks again Ally, for hooking us up and showing us the Milk and Honey way!! We will be back and I will be recommending this place to everyone.More
