Alexander Walker London Evening Standard There's still enough life in the Lecter mythology to create a must-see audience for what is, basically, a dja-vu experience. Ricardo M It is q very good movie. Although not as exceptional as Silence of the Lambe or even Hannibal. Jack Crawford remains -again- too plain and simple. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/27/23 Full Review David H A great detective movie with good cast and acting. Score and cinematography are excellent. The directing is good, and similar to the silence of the lambs. Ralph Fiennes steals the show in my opinion as he often does. Great addition to the Lector franchise. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/20/23 Full Review Leanna R The acting, music, and cinematography are superb - everything fits together perfectly. Sure it's story line is very similar to Silence of the Lambs, but in this case you can't have too much of a good thing. Chills every time after rewatch upon rewatch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/13/23 Full Review Jay H It isn't great, but I'll take it over Manhunter any day of the week. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/05/23 Full Review Donnie K If you swap the release dates for Red Dragon and Hannibal I think both find far more cultural significance and better overall reception. As is Red Dragon is a well crafted thriller with a great ensemble cast. Hopkins is back to being more of a looming presence than constantly on screen which helps with the mystique of his iconic Dr. Lecter. This might actually be the most rewatchable of the franchise. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/18/23 Full Review Kathryn V Liked it so much, watched it a second time yesterday. Certainly no Silence of the Lambs, but pretty good. Ralph Fiennes and Anthony Hopkins, great acting. Great cast all around. Ralph Fiennes knocked it out of the water in parts with his acting, that scene with Philip Seymour Hoffmann.
