Singer/songwriter, record producer and composer Andrew Wyatt is making his solo feature scoring debut on the upcoming drama The Last Showgirl. The film is directed by Gia Coppola (Palo Alto, Mainstream) and stars Pamela Anderson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista, Kiernan Shipka, Brenda Song and Billie Lourd. The movie follows a seasoned showgirl who must plan for her future when her show abruptly closes after a 30-year run and strives to repair a strained relationship with her estranged daughter. Kate Gersten wrote the screenplay. Robert Schwartzman (Dreamland, The Unicorn) and Natalie Farrey are producing the project. Wyatt has previously co-scored last year’s Barbie and also co-wrote several of the film’s songs with Mark Ronson. The Last Showgirl will launch sales this month at the Cannes Film Market. (Deadline)
