Just watched Eraserhead for the first time.

I saw Twin Peaks The Return first and I noticed a lot of parallels between part 8 of The Return and Eraserhead.

The opening scene of the spermatozoon-looking thing flying out of Henry’s mouth reminded me of the thing shooting out of Judy’s mouth with Bob in it. The nuclear bomb picture in Henry’s apartment. The man controlling the levers reminded me of the Fireman and Señorita Dido.

I know David Lynch said this film was his most spiritual film and I’m wondering if anyone has any theories on it that are more leaning on the spiritual aspect as opposed to it’s just metaphor or it’s about the anxieties of fatherhood etc… Anyway I enjoyed it, great film.

Yes definitely.

Here’s a )playful( take…

After the end of everything (The Return) … Cooper fucked up Big Time mucking with the timelines so Jowday wins!!! 😱

This leads us to the darkness of Eraserhead (The Beginning that Isn’t)… same souls... new struggles …

So we meet the characters again in Blue Velvet and Wild At Heart and then we’re back at Twin Peaks…

Now Agent Diane has seen Coop do this loop many times. And transform. (Is why the tape recorded update’s daily on the Twin Peaks pilot)

After Coop (once again?) gets sucked up into the Black Lodge at end of Twin Peaks 1, Agent Diane tries something new… an infiltration of the source of all evil … where Jowfay now resides … Hollywood ! (Inland Empire)
