Latest update on Chris Godwin's hamstring injury

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin made his triumphant return from last year’s season-ending knee injury in Sunday night’s 19-3 win over the Dallas Cowboys, but it looks like he could be going back on the shelf for a while.

Godwin suffered a hamstring strain and is expected to miss some time, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

The Pro Bowl pass-catcher left the game in the second quarter and did not return. It looks like Godwin could miss the next few weeks, according to Pelissero.

Godwin finished the game with 35 yards on three receptions.

The good news is that Godwin’s surgically repaired knee didn’t seem to be an issue Sunday night, and doesn’t appear to be involved in this new injury. Hopefully, Godwin is able to return to full strength quickly.
