I am a high school student taking courses at Cascadia College through the Running Start program. Overall, I like my experience at Cascadia because I am experiencing college life as a senior in high school. My professors have been pretty easygoing and available when help is needed. My classes challenge me, but Cascadia has many resources such as a tutoring center and office hours for extra assistance, which have been very helpful. One thing I wish to see is more creative arts course options. Currently, Cascadia does not have a photography or pottery class, which are classes I am interested in taking.
Cascadia College is a pretty decent college. I went there for a couple of years and got an associate's degree in biology as a running start student. Teachers are willing to help, and students are willing to learn. It's what you'd expect of a college. I'd prefer this college over other community colleges due to its link with the University of Washington Bothell. This allows for access to resources that other colleges cannot access, such as the enormous library of the University of Washington.
I have been attending Cascadia College for the past five months now, and I can say it’s the best experience I’ve ever had they have supportive instructors, Advisors and mentors. No matter how difficult you find it in learning if you reach out to them, they are always willing to help you in you challenges because they want you to be successful. That is very inspirational for students who want to pursue their dreams but going through some hard challenges.
