Bull's team include his brother-in-law Benny, neurolinguistics expert Marissa, former detective Danny, hacker Cable, and Chunk, who helps perfect clients' appearances for trial. What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Michael Weatherly's performance is top-notch, but not enough to save a show that relies too heavily on a well-worn series of legal show tropes and an off-putting premise.

Hank Stuever Washington Post There's probably an interesting show to be made about this line of work, but "Bull" quickly lapses into the standard prime-time bull. Rated: D+ Jan 25, 2019 Full Review Amber Dowling TheWrap If you're tired of high-concept dramas and serialized offerings that require far too much viewing time in your already jam-packed schedule, Bull is certainly a light, breezy offering that could help you unwind after a long Tuesday. Jun 14, 2018 Full Review Ellen Gray Philadelphia Inquirer I doubt it's possible for a CBS legal drama starring former NCIS player Michael Weatherly and debuting between NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles not to be a hit. Sep 20, 2016 Full Review Glenn Garvin Reason Online Whatever its roots, Bull is a repellent mix of behaviorist fascism and pseudo-intellectual arrogance. Jan 26, 2019 Full Review Rob Lowman Los Angeles Daily News While the series tries to dazzle you with high-tech sophistication, it fumbles around when it comes to the human factors. Jan 25, 2019 Full Review Dave Nemetz TV Line Bull might offer a cool new tweak to the TV legal drama... but it leaves the tried-and-true CBS blueprint untouched. Becky W I thought this show was engaging and witty. Gives a great background into jury selection and the human factor. Definitely enjoyed the whole series! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/30/23 Full Review Zak G This is just such a stupid show. There's absolutely nothing realistic about Bull. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/30/22 Full Review John M One of the most boring tedious and slog filled shows I have ever attempted to watch. HOW this made 6 seasons is absolutely beyond all human comprehension. Every episode is the same, there's never anything new or exciting.. just the same cookie cutter script with the same pitfalls every single episode. The highlight for me is that literally ANYONE with ANY sort of legal or law background will know right from the gate the whole show is complete horsecrap. Nevermind the multitude of nonsense techno-babblespeak they throw out to try and "wow" the audience. The very premise of the show is flawed as all Jury pools in the United States are 100% sealed until day of, and for any major case, consist of a jury pool of HUNDREDS of people. Yet somehow these people know EXACTLY who is in the room, everything about them, and instantly have someone "hack" their private lives to dig up dirt on them, including their email accounts, their phones, their bank accounts and more. I wont even get started on the overall ridiculousness of instantly finding said persons EXACT (#&$ing human clone that they say will make every single emotion and intellectual decision as the human being sitting on the jury. Its creepy, insulting, and boring. I made it like 7 episodes, and I have absolutely NO desire to go to 8. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/24/22 Full Review Audience Member Great topics. Enjoyed every episode after learning how it was created by Dr. Phil McGraw. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a great show! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member If you like shows like ncis, you would probably enjoy this. Kids won't understand it, but it isn't vulgar, and I don't recall any cursing. It is a court type show. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
