Draft Prospects
Vogel, a South Carolina recruit, has a small frame but big arm strength. He is 6-foot-1, 175 pounds and pitches at 90-93 mph with his fastball. It lacks life and doesn't get many swings and misses. His curveball is a power pitch that can be plus, and he flashes a slider with good action. His delivery is violent, so scouts think he may wind up as a reliever. There are also questions about his makeup as he was ejected from a couple of games this year and was suspended at one point. The raw stuff is intriguing, but teams probably won't want to buy him out of his South Carolina commitment.
