I was born and raised in Warren, Ohio. Here is recipe. It is quite large in quantity cut down as you desire.
HOT DOG SHOPPE CHILE SAUCE 1 lb. ground beef 3 cans (6 oz. each) tomato paste 3 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce 2 quarts water (might be too much) 3 tbsp. chili powder 1 tbsp. ground black pepper 3 tsp. salt 1/4 to 1/2 cup of corn starch (to thicken) Brown meat and drain. Add tomato paste and sauce. Add water, chili powder, pepper, and salt. Cook 1 hour then add corn starch. Place in a crock pot. Cover and cook in crock pot over night (8 hours) on low. |
