Travis Head hits fastest century for Sunrisers Hyderabad, fourth quickest of IPL

NEW DELHI: Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Travis Head showcased a breathtaking display of power-hitting as he blazed his way to a scintillating century in just 39 balls against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), marking the fourth fastest century in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
In the process, Head also hit the fastest hundred by a SRH batter in the tournament's history.His remarkable innings was a testament to his exceptional batting prowess and ability to dominate the opposition bowlers with aggressive strokeplay.

Head's innings was characterised by nine boundaries and eight towering sixes, as he relentlessly attacked the bowling from the outset. His remarkable timing and placement combined with sheer brute force allowed him to dispatch the ball to all parts of the ground with consummate ease.

The Australian left-hander's century provided a significant boost to his team, propelling them to a commanding position in the match and leaving the opposition bowlers shell-shocked. RCB's Chris Gayle, who achieved the landmark in 30 balls way back in 2013, leads the list of fastest centurions followed by Yusuf Pathan (Rajasthan Royals) in 37 balls and David Miller (Kings XI Punjab) in 38 balls.
