We checked into Best Western Hondo and were not recognized as a member with Elite status. I gave the clerk a $100 Best Western gift card for payment and my American Express card to pay the remainder of the charges. In fact we were not even thanked for choosing Best Western Hondo. We arrived in the room to find only 2 pillows on the bed. I asked for more pillows and was told that 2 pillows per room is Company policy, no exceptions. The bed was old and worn out. When I got into the bed I immediately rolled into a hole in the center of the bed. When my wife got into the bed she immediately rolled to the center also. Horrible customer service. Correct rooms not ready as reserved and spoken about ahead of time with manager. Then the manager gave us keys to an occupied room! We walked in on a very startled and upset guest and I was very frightened and upset. Manager did not act the least concerned, nor even said she was sorry. Then she assigned us another room that she reassigned to someone else not even 10 minutes after she gave us the keys. If we had not been still getting settled and walking between our 2 rooms with the doors open, they would have walked in on us. SO UNSAFE and SCARY. We kept our do not disturb sign out and our latch on the remainder of visit for security! They obviously don't know how to book rooms. mediocre breakfast that ended early the first day. When my…

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding we were attending nearby. Our room was not made when we checked in at 330 (check in is at 3). There were no coffee cups or hangers in the room. I asked for an additional blanket at the front desk and was given sheets. The lady told me that her management had instructed her to give sheets if a customer asks for a blanket. So, I was not given a blanket. The following day, we were gone essentially the entire day and when we returned at 1030pm, our room was not made. Pretty terrible.

The hotel cost way too much for a dirty room. The woman at the desk was unfriendly and not welcoming. Our room was not clean. The carpet had massive pink-red stains. The sheets had large dark spots all over them. The bathtub faucet leaked causing mold in the corners if the bathroom. Parking was very tight. But, the worst was the humidity in the room, it caused the sheets to feel wet and sticky. Unfortunately, this is the only hotel in the area. If I am forced to stay here again, I will bring my own bedding and a humidity fan. There are a few good things: it's located close to several great restaurants and boutiques, the towels were clean, and the view from our room (facing the back) was beautiful, there was a small covered patio with table, sink and BBQ pit, the hotel has a good…

Dirty Rooms , Broken or missing items , Room smelled like urine, No coffee or bottled water available . Very bad management. My wife stepped on a piece of glass that looked like a broken crack pipe. Clearly had not Vacuumed

The hotel was clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable . The breakfast was good with all the normal stuff, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, hash browns. They also had waffles, cold cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, juices, coffee, tea and breakfast bars. Price was reasonable. Overall a good place to stay.

I was please with the room but disappointed that it was not the room we normally stay. This particular room was not as handicap friendly as other rooms we have stayed in at this hotel. To get my son into the bathroom we had to open the bathroom door completely then push his wheelchair into the bathroom. It was kind of awkward but we made it work.

The best place to stay in town. Hotel needs A LOT of repairs and is showing signs of wear., Everything else in town is a total DUMP! The staff was very helpful in trying to make the guest comfortable, but its hard when there are so many issues.

Staff was very polite and so was housekeeping. They are very glad to answer questions and assist in anyway possible to accomodate all guest. I will put this place as a preferred place to stay in Hondy TX. Keep up the great work.

There was banging of the elevator and people letting there doors slam shut All night long. Did not get any sleep at all. The breakfast was bad also, It consisted of an apple, orange, Blueberry muffin and a little container of hot sauce. Will not be coming back.

"We stayed on the bottom floor and really had no problems with noise we stayed towards the outside door so had no problem with the breakfast people. They do have a small fitness room and and outside pool we did not use them but saw people in both and it appeared nice."Read full review
