Midwood High School at Brooklyn College Reviews

The best parts of Midwood is the diversity that allows me to experience all types of culture and meet new people.
Great school, teachers truly care about students success. Very diverse population with a lot of AP options but since there are so many kids in the school it is hard sometimes to compete and get into AP's. Overall school 9.5/10.
Overall, I'm proud to be a student at Midwood. While it had a rough start, because I had my freshman year online (due to Covid), I had so much fun exploring the school and building relationships with my peers and teachers during my sophomore year to my senior year. I was able to make some of my close friends at Midwood. My school is very diverse, so most of my friends have different backgrounds and cultures, which I was able to learn about through our friendship. Because most of the students at my school are competitive and passionate about their grades and learning, I was also able to learn from my peers when I needed help understanding certain aspects of a topic after school, since the classes are very challenging at times. The best parts of my time at Midwood would be my experience with the extracurricular activities after-school because they allowed me to explore many of my interests and connect with peers that shared my interests. In the end, I truly enjoyed my time at Midwood.
Midwood High school offers a diverse set of students with different backgrounds and a chance to learn the backgrounds. The various departments allow for a student to easily take action to go on the right track for their future college major.
Midwood High School was always the dream high school scenario for me and many others. Midwood High School's strength lies in its dedication to high achievement in learning. Known for challenging classes and expert teachers, Midwood often ranks among the most satisfactory schools in New York. What makes Midwood thrive is ensuring kids get a balanced education beyond books. The amount of activities you can take part in is endless. Sports like volleyball, basketball, swimming, tennis, soccer, baseball, flag football, wrestling, bowling and more students can join throughout there four years here.
Midwood High School is truly a fantastic high school. Ranging from our multitude of student-led clubs, cultural festivals, and experienced guidance counselors, to our interesting programs and great facilities, the environment and support from this school are great and very helpful. I am glad to be a student at Midwood High School.
It's a good school with good people. I've overall had a positive experience being a student here, with no real complaints. I'm glad to have been part of the school community, and wish I could spend longer in these years surrounded by friends. It's what you make of it.
I had a really good time at Midwood when I was a student. I feel like the school is amazing with academics, diversity, and the ability for students to learn more about college
The school is well known. It has two programs: The humanities and the medical field. My son started in humanities and then he transferred to medical. He is doing an AP class in Physics. He did AP Environment last year. The school does not have many parent workshops. They only do it for college readiness. They should have workshops for parents and students to prepare for college, what to expect, etc... The neighborhood is unsafe. I am afraid for my son to come back home.
Although there is a lot of options at Midwood High School, such as numerous deans, strong academics, and lots of guidance counselors, there could still be some improvement. One such improvement is food options, the food is repetitive and sometimes even stale. The portions are also smaller, in my opinion. One thing that could also be improved is the addition of halal foods, which a lot of my Muslim friends advocate for.
Overall, Midwood did a good job with its students and was very accessible in its resources and help.
Midwood High School is very good in their school spirit and activities. There is so many things to get involved in including clubs, academic teams, competitions, musicals, art galleries, and so much more. They also host so many fun activities such as movie nights and the dozens of spirit days. There’s so much to do and so much to get involved in, I love it! As for the academic part, there are so many opportunities to choose from. We have a wide selections of AP classes, dozens of elective courses, and well as a great robotics track and science research track. Midwood High School is great when it comes to shaping what you want to do in the future and the teachers are so nice and supportive.
Attending Midwood High School is definitely a worthwhile experience. The students and administration work hand and hand each day to make the experience enjoyable. During my time at Midwood I was able to be offered multiple opportunities to be involved in extracurricular activities including clubs, shows and spirit days. In addition, the student environment encourages you to strive for excellence in your academics. There's always something to look forward to in Midwood!
I can only explain my time at Midwood High School as very welcoming, fun, and advanced. Midwood High School only helped me become closer to achieving my over all life passion of becoming a veterinarian. By providing teachers and classes guiding me to college readiness and success, I am proud to say that I feel prepared and excited to continue pursuing my love for animals in college.
With its diverse student body and strong academic programs, Midwood High School offers a fantastic learning environment. The teachers are super supportive and passionate about their subjects. Plus, there are plenty of extracurricular activities to get involved in, like sports teams, clubs, and even a theater programs like Sing or cultural festivals. The school also has a beautiful campus with modern facilities. Overall, Midwood High School provides a well-rounded education and a vibrant community. It's definitely a top-notch high school experience!
It's very diverse - there's almost an equal amount of every race there, the academics are outstanding, and you get informed about college applications starting in sophomore year. The food and teachers are okay and just based on luck. However, it's not very safe. You probably won't get hurt, but there's at least 5 fights per month. There's also a lot of homework.
Teachers truly wish for you to succeed, at least the ones that I've had the luck of having. I've met great fellow students and friends here, who roped me into joining a bunch of clubs and a school team! There are a few bad apples here and there, but no person is perfect. Midwood offers a rainbow of APs for you to hopefully enter, and they push you to do your best. I love it here.
