Anthony "Tony" Alesi
March 25, 1960 - April 11, 2022

Anthony "Tony" Alesi, age 62, of Bear, DE, tragically passed away in an automobile accident Monday, April 11, 2022. Family was everything to Tony. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed singing and the family would often sing together in-home concerts. Tony loved playing his father's drums and dancing with his mother. He enjoyed cutting all the family lawns. The family loved getting together and especially looked forward to celebrating the holidays and decorating the house. He enjoyed memorable vacations in Florida.

Tony dearly loved his mother and spent quality time with her. One of their favorite past times was sitting on the couch, watching late-night TV and eating popcorn. They were not just mother and son but best buddies.

Tony had a great personality and infectious smile. He was a flashy dresser and could be quite the prankster. Tony once participated in a flash mob in Philadelphia where they did a scene from Thriller. He loved to have a good time.

Tony had amazing athletic abilities. He was a great pool and Ping-Pong player and liked to roller skate. Tony cheered for all the Philadelphia sports teams. He was a great dancer and even appeared on Dance Fever in California in 1983. In the 1980s Tony owned a dance studio in SW Philadelphia. He was a sought-after entertainer and was well-known for his Neal Diamond Impressions and performances with LA Productions and All-Star Entertainment.

Tony is survived by his mother, Lorraine Castaldo Alesi; siblings: Lorrie Alesi (Marty), Ralph Alesi (Andrea), Michael Alesi, Steven Alesi (Danielle), and Lisa Alesi (Greg); girlfriend, Debbie Bowden; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Alesi; and sister-in-law, Gina Alesi (Michael's wife).

A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 10-11:45 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 345 Bear Christiana Rd, Bear, DE 19701, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Burial will be private.
