After waking up late, flunking her pop quiz, embarrassing herself on numerous occasions, and starting a fire in her home economics class, high school student Makoto Konno figures she’s just having one of those days. And just when she thinks she’s made it through, the brakes on her bike malfunction putting her on a collision course with a speeding train. The life-ending accident would have been the perfect end to the worst day ever, but the strangest thing happens—she leaps backwards in time. After unlocking her new ability, Makoto does what any teenager would do. She re-takes tests, corrects embarrassing situations, and sleeps in as late as she wants, never thinking that her carefree time travelling could have a negative effect on the people she cares about. By the time she realizes the damage she’s done, she only has a few leaps left to make things right.

“I’ll be waiting for you in the future” That line fucks me up because it means that whatever cataclysmic shit happened to fuck up the world a Chiaki came from… is about to happen.

Yea is missing the ending. I’ve Painted the end the best I could because it’s such a shame it’s not here… Sousuke finished his sentence saying “ what did he tell you something?” Makoto replies, “tell me something like what?” Kousuke watches Kaho throw the ball like 2 feet and fumble to get it- “look at her..” he says adoringly under his breath. Makoto says out loud “I’ve made a decision about my future too!” Kousuke looks over at her “oh yeah? What is it?” Makoto playfully puts her hands behind her and says teasingly “it’s a secret” Kousuke laughs and says “how come- you don’t trust me??” Makoto looks up to the sky and replies “Tell you about it some other time.” The music gets louder and the screen pans up towards the big blue sky over the field. At the crescendo of the song, the screen flicks black and the credits roll. It’s really an amazing ending especially the weight of “I’ll tell you some other time” considering the movie’s big lesson is “time waits for no one.” I’m surprised Crunchyroll skipped out on the end.

I've heard about this movie so many times, and just watched it for the first time tonight. For those worried that the ending minutes are missing, they're not, it has been fixed. As for the movie, It was a very good watch. If you're on the fence about watching it, consider throwing it on durning a quiet night.

Holy sh*t! I almost pass on this one! It is now one of my favourite anime. I love how he did not kiss her, and leave her longing for him for all those time. Magic happen in an instant and gone too soon.
