Tsubasa Ono (Tao Tsuchiya) is in the first grade of Shirato High School in Sapporo, Japan. The high school is famous for its baseball team and brass band. While Tsubasa Ono views a trophy for the brass band, she meets Daisuke Yamada (Ryoma Takeuchi) who is standing next to her and staring at the trophy for the baseball team.

Tsubasa Ono tells Daisuke that she came to Shirato High School after she watched the brass band cheering from the stands during the Koshien baseball tournament. Daisuke is also in the first grade of high school and a member of the high school baseball team. He promises Tsubasa Ono that the team will make it to the Koshien baseball tournament and she can cheer from the stands there. Tsubasa has difficulties learning to play the trumpet for the brass band, but Daisuke cheers her up. She begins to have feelings for Daisuke and they go forward with their dream.

aester Feb 01 2024 8:39 am I really like this kind of film!! I wish i could watched this earlier :( I probably rewatch this film later. I like everything in this film, like the casts, the story, and many more. I do like this movie because the story is simple yet beautiful, almost no romance, and of course there is beautiful message for us to work hard and not give up on our dreams just like Daisuke and Tsubasa. I like how Tsubasa's character developed, from a shy and quiet person to a brave and encouraging person, even she can change others, like Mizushima for instance. What i feel about this movie is warming and touching. I prefer high school love story like this, just a few romantic scene and i like both of them encouraging each other to achive their goals. So proud of them for achieving their goals. Tsubasa is so cute here and i love Daisuke's smileee, so adorable. Idk but for me he has a unique handsome face. I also like how his hairstyle is good in him. Daisuke is a greenflag boy and this fictional character really makes me fall in love to him. Some of my favorite scenes was when Daisuke encouraged Tsubasa while Tsubasa was crying and even drew a smile :D on her shoe. The second is when Tsubasa and Daisuke hugged each other after he got a serious injury :( last but not least, a scene when Daisuke confessed to her infront of school thropy display. AAAAA

prim Jan 07 2018 4:30 am @Kaya thank you for speaking for me. We have the same sentiments toward this movie. T_T I absolutely loved it! Truly heartwarming and it's so real.. I mean, it could really happen to two persons with beautiful dreamswhile with such love with each other. I mean (don't kill me) when it comes to shoujo type movies, sometimes it gets unrealistic. The story. In this one, it's so real. Please watch it. Juri is soooo pretty, I love her. Daisuke and Kido are bff goals T_T and ohmygoodness Daisuke is soooo adorable huhuhuhu (be still, my fangirl heart)

Kaya Dec 21 2017 4:39 pm I really like that this movie based love off of something substantial and solid, like 2 characters encouraging each other to become better and better and to never look down. It was unique in that aspect, because in most romance movies these days, love is always intertwined with violence or abuse in some ways (bad boy phenomenon), which isn't really the best way to portray romance. Also, Tao Tsuchiya is too cute in this movie!
