That’s it. After last week’s post on the Earth’s chakra system, I’m completely enamored with Earth’s chakras and leylines. I’m not sure how I’m getting out of this one. I hope you’re as fascinated by this subject as I am, because I’m probably not going to stop writing about this anytime soon.

What are leylines?

Leylines go by many names. They are also known as Spirit Lines (South America) or Dragon Lines (China), Holy lines (or Heilige Linien in Germany). In the ascension community, it’s known as the crystalline grid. (Presumably because it’s anchored in the Earth’s rock/crystal structure.)

They are ancient, unseen channels of electromagnetic energy that form a grid across the globe. Unlike the lines of latitude and longitude that we see on maps, the grid is made of triangles, not squares. It‘s function is mainly carrying life force energy from the earth’s chakras and vortices (or vortexes, which is less grammatically correct.) They also act a bit like telephone wires, that carry messages from people, places or things (or even the earth’s consciousness itself) along the energy grid.

As you may have guessed, sacred geometry also plays into this. I found multiple instances of synchronistic number patterns, such as, the approximate size of the earth’s chakras being about 777 miles, and the approximate distance between the megaliths that reside on the energy chakras being 6,666 miles apart.

It’s important to remember that leylines are not necessarily always “positive” energy. If something negative happens on a leyline, this can carry negativity reverberating through the ether. Negative energy leylines are called “blacklines”, which can drain a person’s life force energy, (qi, chi, prana, vril, ond) causing sicknesses, lack of energy and a slew of other problems. They can also cause “hauntings” and paranormal activity. (The unwanted kind of paranormal activity.)

The grid is really similar to the energy meridians (nadis) in the body that connect our chakras and carry life force energy throughout the human energy system. If you’re not familiar with them, are the same energy channels that are referred to in Traditional Chinese Medicine, accupuncture and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique, or “tapping”).

As with the Earth’s chakras, we can see again that the hermetic Law of Analogy applies. According to Richard LeFlors Clark PhD, the energy grid is actually hologram of the organization of the solar system! This is fascinating when you consider that ancient temples and structures throughout the world were built to line up with certain constellations at specific points in the year.

Spirits in some cultures were believed to only be able to travel in a straight line. This is because spirits travel along the energy grid lines. This makes sense, as energy vortexes are where spirits are supposed to enter and leave the planet.

Do Leylines Exist?

As with anything metaphysical, it depends on who you ask.

If you work with this kind of energy on a regular basis, the grid and its effects are observable. For many, grid “theory” works as a useful paradigm for understanding and explaining supernatural phenomena. If it didn’t exist, we wouldn’t be able to resolve hauntings and other problems through closing vortexes and so on and so forth.

Modern science, on the other hand, would say no. There are a lot of things though that modern science can’t explain, however. They would say divination can’t work, chakras and energy don’t exist, magic is impossible, energy healing is laughable, and there is no such thing as god/s. At best, they can’t be explained.

Energy healers, psychics, occultists, magickians and the like dwell in the realm of the unexplainable, however. We work with things that science would marvel at on a daily basis. Carl Jung, the Swiss psychoanalyst, once said that tarot works on the principle of synchronicity. I don’t think we need to wait for validation from Western Science in order to believe the experiences we have are real.

Criticisms of the leyline theory are that for any point in the world, you can find a hundred points connecting to it from other monuments. Although this is probably true, there is way too much anecdotal evidence from professional dowsers, people visiting the earth’s chakras etc. If you do any energy work yourself, I think you can agree that it would be silly to assume that religious monuments *don’t* have any special energy attached to them.

It would also be hard to deny that there was anything strange about the Bermuda Triangle, or the much smaller Lake Michigan Triangle. The energetic effects are, in my opinion, very real, even if probability might muddy the water on the actual locations or said points.

I’ve personally channeled information on energy vortexes/star gates, so I am personally of the belief that they do exist.

Ultimately, it’s up to you to experiment and answer that question for yourself.

Who discovered leylines? When were leylines discovered?

Although the understanding of there being leylines is a very old one, it wasn’t until the 1920s that any formal theory made its way into Western academia.

If you’ve ever heard of the concept of simultaneous invention, in which one invention is conceived of at the same time by different people in completely different locations unbeknownst to one another, leylines definitely meet the definition.

Alfred Watkins, a British mystic and archaeologist in the 1920s, made the discovery that many of England’s churches and monuments existed in a straight line. Although mainstream academia refused to take his ideas seriously, (of course they didn’t — see aforementioned discussion on Western science.) he did publish his findings in 1925 with his book, The Old Straight Track.

At practically the same time in the 1920s, the idea of Heilige Linien (Holy Lines) was posited by William Teudt in Germany. He also discovered that Germany, the holy sites, churches, monuments and mounds, etc. could be connected using a straight line. Perhaps most notably was Externsteine, a mysterious sandstone rock formation that was the remains of a temple from pre-Christian Celts who had lived in Germany. (Also insanely interesting but beyond the scope of this post, :’( )

Where are leylines?

Leylines are all over the globe, encompassing it like a net. (See image at the beginning of this post.) A lot of blogs say that you only need to Google “leyline maps near me” to find a slew of maps of leylines near you. I’m not so sure that those people actually did that, because I was hard-pressed to find any map that clearly shows any leyline within a couple hundred miles from me. So, finding leylines near you might take some extra detective work on your end.

Some natural features that are indicators of leylines are, of course, stone megaliths, large stone formations, large trees with many trees growing out of one root system, rivers (especially those that flow both above and below ground, and areas with an abundance of nettle or mistletoe. Churches were often placed on leyines. Place names might be a good indicator — old places with the word holy in them. Places with the name Michael coincidentally wind up being on leylines, so much so that leylines have been named after archangel Michael. Places with more supernatural or UFO activity are also indicative of an energy vortex, stargate or leyline.

You could of course try dowsing with a pendulum or dowsing rods to find where the energy leylines are. With both pendulums and dowsing rods, both should begin to move when nearing an energy leyline and be still otherwise. (Although us that DO regularly work with pendulums might dispute that?) This might require a separate article.

As I mentioned earlier, I channeled information on an energy vortex/stargate in Lake Michigan. I can tell that this likely is accurate, because there had been a “Stonehenge” like structure found at the bottom of Lake Michigan at some point. There is also a load of UFO activity surrounding Lake Michigan (as you would expect from a Stargate.) Since the Great Lakes were created when the glaciers from the Ice Age melted, it’s quite possible that that was used as a place of worship some time before. (I might write an article about this at some point.)

It would be impossible to describe everywhere that leylines are, but I DID find a pretty comprehensive list of points where the gridlines intersect, if this is useful to anyone.

(62) German underground Antarctic base?

(I did not for some reason include the source of this in my research notes? So if this is your information, just leave a comments and let me know how to properly credit you.)

In conclusion, the earth’s leylines form an energy grid that blankets the earth. They carry messages, energy, and even spirits from the earth’s chakras around the globe. They connect the earth’s megaliths from past civilizations. The grid forms geometric triangles and there are a lot of really eerie number synchronicities surrounding them. I was hoping with this article, I would be able to tie up a lot of the questions that came up while I was doing research, but I’m left with so, so many more questions. I’ve started writing articles about Earth’s energy vortexes and stargates, so make sure to subscribe if you’re interested in this sort of thing!

In the meantime, be sure to check out my article on The Earth’s Chakra System, another very similar but connected and equally interesting topic.
