  Fred Hammond is my favorite Gospel Artist. So when I heard that he would be preforming in White Plains, New York, there was no doubt that I would finish celebrating my birthday week at the Praise and Worship festival with Fred and Pastor McClurkin. The festival was wonderful because it was just that; it was a celebration of GOD. The attendees were less like spectators and more like participants in a "large choir" lead by Fred and Pastor Donnie. And despite Pastor Donnie vocal challenges and Fred's limited mobility, they both left everything they had on the stage. Fred Hammond's background singers were energetic, lively and in a word Awesome! The stage was colorful and kept one's eyes' engaged. Despite the fact that I was surrounded by a bunch of people I did not know and was not actually in a church I was moved to worship and praise; it was truly about celebrating the Lord. Fred's voice is anointed. Towards the end of the concert Fred made me and all attendees happy by singing all of my favorites in an especially spirited manner. I am still feeling happy and thinking about GOD and my relationship with the Lord two days after the Festival. I enjoyed seeing Fred Hammond live. I would encourage all lovers of Gospel music to give themselves the gift of seeing and hearing the powerful voice of Fred Hammond live. The festival exceeded my expectations. It was an awesome, wonderful, and amazing evening and experience!

• Fred Hammond has many talents from record producing to bass guitar playing yet his tours are often a celebration and showcase of his impressive gospel vocal. The Michigan musician has been performing since the mid-80s and despite his increasing age, he looks comfortable and content onstage performing to a devoted fanbase.

  Stepping out with some trusty musicians, the whole show is a celebration of music and gospel in general as everybody onstage is having a brilliant time playing. The songs chosen tonight cross over the genres of contemporary, worship, soul and even disco at times yet what remains the same throughout is that timeless vocal that holds so much power. It has the whole room locked in attention throughout the evening and rightly so as it is indescribably commanding. The man himself is far more approachable and talks to the crowds with a great natural manner. It is clear to see why Fred has a large following and continues to perform all these years later.

• Fred Hammond is seriously a force to be reckoned with, his music adopting a neo-soul and disco vibe with every song possessing an infectious hook in the chorus that’ll you’ll find yourself still singing next week. Lyrically, his music is that of a Christian vibe, catering to a predominantly Christian crowd. Lyrical content aside, the musicality of him and together with his band is out standing; truly a band of virtuosic musicians who’s trade is music. It’s no wonder that he is a multiple Grammy, Dove and Stellar award winner, not just as a singer but also as a producer and writer. If you want to go out for a dance, then Hammond is definitely your guy as every song has that quality, “All Things Are Working” is the song that will take you back to the 70s for a disco vibe, a four to the floor beat making you dance uncontrollably with a smile on your face. It just makes you feel good, and isn’t that what music is all about?!

• On February 6 2000 I went to church because my youngest 5 year old son asked me to go. During this time in my life I was a alcoholic and I didn’t know God. I went to church and was swallowed up by the power of the Holy Spirit and gave my life to the Lord. The next morning I went to find some gospel music. I wasn’t familiar with gospel artists so I just got the first cassette tape with a African American on the cover. That tape was Fred Hammonds Purpose By Design. I listened to that cassette over and over again. Since then I have been ordained as a Deacon then I was ordained as a Preacher of the Gospel. The Lord has allowed me to minister singing my favorite song , “You Are The Living Word. “ I have all of Fred Hammonds music and have been to some of his concerts. I pray one day I will get a chance to meet him. God Bless

• It was so much fun. Great performance. Pastor Jenkins was awesome also. I saw JJ Hairston was supposed to be there so that is the only disappointment there. Donnie did a awesome job. I pray over his fam after his nephew of 18 years of age died in his sleep.

• That event information was false the concert didn't happen. I was disappointed. Fred Hammond is an awesome performer & worshipper. The criterion was listed as the location, I even called them to be sure.
