    About Us

Charles E. Jordan High School is a diverse school rich in traditions of academic, extra-curricular, and athletic excellence. Jordan students are encouraged to seek excellence, and teachers utilize a variety of teaching techniques to address a variety of learning styles. Another important aspect of the academic program is the availability of a wide variety of Advanced Placement (AP) courses as students are able to take AP courses at each grade level. Jordan students can choose from 19 AP courses.

The school features a career pathway in Agriscience/Biotechnology as well as an integral Freshman Academy. Highlights of the Jordan community that have won national and state awards include the marching band, theater program, visuals arts program, FFA, FBLA, Rocketry Club, and the world languages program.

The mission of Jordan High School is to provide students with the opportunity to explore a body of knowledge, to develop academic, physical, and social skills, and to practice thinking and decision-making processes in an open and orderly environment. Strong support from the JHS Alumni Association and parent organizations, such as the PTSA, Athletic Booster Club, and the Band Boosters, contribute to the feeling of community that is evident within the school.
