The Senate confirmed Britt Grant to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit July 31, by a 52-46 vote.
The vote came less than 24 hours after the Senate voted to advance her nomination to a final vote.
Grant is President Donald Trump’s 24th successful appointment to a federal appeals court. She is Trump’s third appointment to the Eleventh Circuit, after Judge Elizabeth Branch and Judge Kevin Newsom.
All 24 appointees are “pretty conservative” but from her record, Grant doesn’t appear to be as conservative as Andrew Oldham who was recently narrowly voted on to the Fifth Circuit, ...
