At Cheam, we always look for impactful innovation with technology, putting student impact at the heart of what we offer. Virtual Reality is by no means a new innovation and we have been monitoring the quality of its offering to students, beyond a fun gadget. This week, we had a demonstration of VR in school. Subject teachers saw how VR can allow the children to explore realistic simulations, visit historical sites, conduct virtual experiments, and practice real-life skills in a safe environment. It also engages children’s brains in impactful ways, increases retention rates, and fosters creativity and critical thinking.

Whether the technology is VR or AI, we continue to be excited by developing technologies, how they can be used to enhance learning and how pupils can be taught to safely and proactively engage with technology that will certainly form part of their future beyond the school.
