Hi, we have been vaccinated and so decided we will keep our planned March trip. Coming from and going to US, we will need Covid test. Anyone have information on where to get tested in Cabo as well as price? Thank you in advance .

At the airport when you leave. Cost around $25. Just arrive a little bit early.
Many of the resorts are offering testing to guests on property as well! Casa Dorada is $35 as of last week.
Thank you!
You can read through the many posts already on this subject. You can also contact the resort you will be staying at to see if they offer the test and what the cost will be. Or, as stated above, you can get the test at the airport for $25. They were supposed to be putting up kiosks around town, but it hasn't been done yet. They may not do it now since all hotels/resorts seem to have put something in place.
My understanding is, if you have had the Covid-19 vaccination you will have to take the PCR test. The PCR test runs about $200+. If you take the antigen test or rapid test, you will probably get a positive test result. Getting a test at the airport for $35 won't work. Can anyone clarify this issue?
Yes whatever rumors you hear are true and the best place to confirm is a travel forum.
No the vaccine will not make you test positive. I would suggest looking at the cdc website to confirm.
Edited: 3 years agoCraig is correct. Vaccine wont cause positive in viral test such as pcr or antigen test. it may show positive for the antibody test due to developing an immune response. See http://www.ucf.edu , univ of central florida.
We are Canadians and had to get a PCR test done no sooner than 72 hours before departure. We went to the PRMEDICA clinic (it is on the highway just west of San Jose del Cabo) in a plaza where the Fresko grocery store is located. Very professional, compassionate and kind staff. From what I could see they do all of the tests required whether you are from Canada or the USA. Their turnaround time for a PCR test is 24-48 hours and while Monday, February 1 was a holiday and we were tested at 10 a.m., had our results by 11 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2. The staff also contacted us early evening on February 2 by phone to assure us the test results would be available for us to depart. I made the reservation for the PCR test via Facebook messenger and the communication was superb. Just a note to all travellers out there. Please be kind and respectful to the staff. While it may be stressful for travellers to get the test, please consider the impact on the clinic workers. They are doing their absolute best and did a wonderful job. Please treat them as you expect others to treat you. We will return to San Jose del Cabo and use this clinic again if we need to do so in the future. Thanks!
Thank you for this information !
Hilton and the Waldorf are charging $30 for the rapid test. Same day results.
